A low power consuming dough-making machine is provided that includes sources of liquid and dry ingredients for the dough, a movable conveyor for receiving thereon layers of liquid and dry ingredients from the sources thereof to form a cake of ingredients of the desired dough composition, and a plurality of high speed rollers for kneading the cake of ingredients to the desired consistency for the dough product.

A combustor structure is described which comprises a cavity defined in the combustor for trapping a vortex of fuel, air and hot combustion products to stabilize the flame, the cavity being formed in any suitable way such as being defined between two or more bluff bodies in tandem, or in a wall of the combustor, or in the combustor liner, and wherein fuel and air are injected directly into the fuel/air recirculation zone defined by the trapped vortex.

Combustor flame stabilizing structure

Fiber optic probe apparatus usable for measuring temperatures with increased dynamic range and frequency domain response and desirable measurement accuracy. A black body signal source, fiber optic signal coupling, and extension of the transducer dynamic range with optical multiplexing are employed; the instrument operates in the range of 1.6 micrometers of optical energy wavelength and preferably employs recently improved indium gallium arsenide photodiode transducer devices and transducer frequency domain compensation. Use of the instrument in measuring combustion flame transient temperatures is disclosed.
