Styrene-free unsaturated polyester resin and vinyl ester resin compositions are provided which contain low amounts of hazardous air pollutants, good mechanical and physical properties, and good corrosion resistant characteristics. The resin systems are such that minimal or no component is leachable after completion of the curing process. The resins are suitable for repair of sewer pipes and potable water pipe systems as part of a cured-in-place pipe application. Additionally, the invention is suitable for relining of storage tanks. A process for the manufacture of these resin compositions is also provided.

The quick heat ice cream scoop is an improved heat ice cream scoop that includes a ceramic heating element and an ergonomic grip. The ceramic heating element is built into the ice cream scoop and quickly heats up the ice cream scoop, and conversely shall quickly cool down when turned off. The ice cream scoop is mounted to an ergonomic grip that reduces hand fatigue of the end user while providing a location to store powering means for powering the ceramic heating element.

A valve assembly uses an O ring contained within a void such that the outer edges of the valve assembly reach the outer mid section of the O ring. A kettle for brewing beer or heating other fluid is drilled so as to accommodate the disclosed valve. The O ring is pressed and held against the outside surface of the kettle wall. A retaining nut placed within the kettle further secures the valve to the kettle. As the surface of the kettle heats during use, the contained O ring retains sufficient contact with the valve and kettle so as to prevent leakage.

The present invention relates to a rapid high-throughput ion-exchange resin assay for determining enzyme activity. This novel assay uses a radiometric technique which separates the radioactive substrate from the product (or the radioactive product from the substrate) by exploiting the differences in the net charges of the molecules using ion-exchange resin. This assay is useful, for example, for studies of enzyme kinetics, the identification of functional sites in the enzyme, and in the automated screening of compound libraries for pharmaceutical drug development.
