A perfluorinated 1-alkoxypropene represented by general Formula (I), compositions that include such compounds, and methods and systems that include such compositions are provided, wherein Formula (I) is represented by: RO&#x2014;CF&#x2550;CFCFwherein Ris a linear, branched, or cyclic perfluoroalkyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms and optionally further including 1 to 3 nitrogen and/or 1 to 4 oxygen catenary heteroatoms.

Perfluorinated 1-alkoxypropenes, compositions, and methods and apparatuses for using same

Described herein is a perfluorinated aminoolefin compound of general formula (I): CFY&#x2550;CXN(R)CFR' where: (a) Rand R&#x2032; are (i) independently selected from a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms, optionally comprising at least one catenated O or N atom, or (ii) bonded together to form a perfluorinated ring structure having 4-8 ring carbon atoms, optionally comprising at least one catenated O atom; and (b) X and Y are (i) independently selected from a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, or (ii) bonded together to form a perfluorinated ring structure having 5-6 ring carbon atoms. Such compounds may be used in heat transfer, foam blowing or immersion cooling applications, or as a working fluid in a Rankine cycle, a coating or lubricant, or as a dielectric fluid. Also disclosed herein is a method for making such compounds.

Perfluoroaminoolefins and methods of making and using the same

A dielectric fluid (i.e., dielectric composition) that includes a perfluorinated 1-alkoxypropene compound represented by the following general Formula (I): RO&#x2014;CF&#x2550;CFCFwherein Ris CF&#x2014; or CFCF&#x2014;. Such dielectric fluids may be useful in various electrical devices.

Perfluorinated 1-alkoxypropenes in dielectric fluids and electrical devices

A composition includes a perfluorinated propenylamine represented by the following general formula (1): Each occurrence of Rf1 and Rf2 is: (i) independently a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms and optionally comprises one or more catenated heteroatoms; or (ii) bonded together to form a ring structure having 4-8 carbon atoms and that optionally comprises one or more catenated heteroatoms. At least 60 wt. % of the perfluorinated propenylamine is in the form of the E isomer, based on the total weight of the perfluorinated propenylamine in the composition. 

An immersion cooling system includes a housing having an interior space; a heat-generating component disposed within the interior space; and a working fluid liquid disposed within the interior space such that the heat-generating component is in contact with the working fluid liquid. The working fluid comprises a compound having Structural Formula (IA) Each Rand Ris, independently, (i) a linear or branched perhalogenated acyclic alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms and optionally contains one or more catenated heteroatoms selected from O or N; or (ii) a perhalogenated 5-7 membered cyclic alkyl group having 3-7 carbon atoms and optionally contains one or more catenated heteroatoms selected from O or N.

A compound is represented by the following general formula (I): (I) wherein each of Rf1 and Rf2 is, independently, F, CF3, C2F5, C3F7, or C4F9, with the proviso that if either of Rf1 and Rf2 is fluorine, then the other is not fluorine; Rf3 is F, CF3, C2F5, C3F7 or CF(CF3)2; Rf4 is F, CF3, C2F5, C3F7 or CF(CF3)2; and Rh is CH3 or C2H5.

Described herein is dioxolane-containing compound of formula (I) wherein (i) Rfand Rfare independently linear or branched perfluoroalkyi groups having with 1-8 carbon atoms and optionally comprise at least one catenated heteroatom, or (ii) Rfand Rfare bonded together to form a ring structure having 4-6 carbon atoms and optionally comprise one or more catenated heteroatoms; Rfis a linear or branched perfluoroalkyi groups having with 1-3 carbon atoms; and Rand Rare independently selected from H, F, Cl, a linear or branched alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, optionally wherein the alkyl group comprises at least one of: fluorine, chlorine, a hydroxyl group, or a catenated heteroatom; for use in cleaning compositions, as an electrolyte solvent, as a heat transfer fluid, or a vapor phase soldering fluid. There is also provided a method of making the dioxolane-containing compound, comprising: contacting a 1,2-diol compound with a fluorinated ethylenically unsaturated compound in the presence of a base. 

Nitrogen and dioxolane-containing hydrofluoroethers and methods of using the same

The present invention relates to an unsaturated fluorinated ether or amine compound of formula (I) with low global warming potential and method of making the compound (I), where Ris and Rare independently selected from H or CH, wherein when Ris CHthen Ris H and when Ris CH, then Ris H; X is O or N and when X is O, then n is 1 and Ris a linear or branched perfluorinated alkyl group comprising 1-10 carbon atoms and optionally comprising at least one catenated O or N atom; X is N, then n is 2 and (i) each Ris independently selected from a linear or branched perfluorinated alkyl group comprising 1-8 carbon atoms and optionally comprising at least one catenated O or N atom, or (ii) the two R's are bonded together to form a ring structure optionally comprising at least one catenated O or N atom, wherein the ring of the ring structure consists of 5-7 atoms, no more than 10 carbon atoms, and is perfluorinated. The applications of the compound include solvent cleaning, electrolyte solvents or additives, heat transfer, and vapour phase soldering.

Nitrogen and/or oxygen-containing hydrofluoroolefins and methods of making and using the same

A hydrofluoroolefin is represented by the following general formula (A): in which, Rfand Rfare (i) independently linear or branched fluoroalkyl groups having with 1-8 carbon atoms and optionally include one or more catenated heteroatoms; or (ii) bonded together to form a ring structure having 4-8 carbon atoms and optionally include one or more catenated heteroatoms; &#x3b1; is CF, F, H; &#x3b2; is F or H; &#x3b3; is CF, F, CFH, CFH, or CH, and the compound includes a total of 1-4 H atoms; and with the provisos that at least one of &#x3b1; and &#x3b3; is F or H; when &#x3b3; is CFor F, at least one of &#x3b1; and &#x3b2; is H; when &#x3b3; is CH, at least one of &#x3b1; and &#x3b2; is F, and when &#x3b1; is CF, then &#x3b2; is H and &#x3b3; is F; wherein at least one of Rfand Rfhave two or more carbon atoms. 

Hydrofluoroolefins and methods of using same

A hydrofluoroolefin compound is represented by the following general formula (I): where Ris a linear or branched perfluorinated alkyl group containing 2-10 carbon atoms and optionally contains (i) at least one catenated heteroatom selected from O or N; or (ii) a ring structure having 3 to 6 ring carbon atoms that optionally contains one or more catentated heteroatoms selected from O or N. 

Described herein is a polymer comprising: interpolymerized units of (i) a fluorinated terminal alkene monomer and (ii) a tertiary amine-containing fluorinated monomer comprising at least one of a vinyl amine, a substituted vinyl amine, an allyl amine, a substituted allyl amine, and combinations thereof; wherein the polymer can be amorphous or semi-crystalline with a melting point no greater than 325&#xb0; C. An apparatus for heat transfer includes a device and a mechanism for transferring heat to or from the device.
