A method of real time field wide reservoir management comprising the steps of processing collected field wide reservoir data in accordance with one or more predetermined algorithms to obtain a resultant desired field wide production/injection forecast, generating a signal to one or more individual well control devices instructing the device to increase or decrease flow through the well control device, transmitting the signal to the individual well control device, opening or closing the well control device in response to the signal to increase or decrease the production for one or more selected wells on a real time basis. The system for field wide reservoir management comprising a CPU for processing collected field wide reservoir data, generating a resultant desired field wide production/injection forecast and calculating a target production rate for one or more wells and one or more down hole production/injection control devices.

System and method for real time reservoir management

A downhole perforator assembly () for establishing communication between the interior of a tubular string () and a surrounding annulus () includes a downhole power unit () having a power unit housing () and a moveable shaft () and a downhole perforator () having a perforator housing (), a mandrel () slidably positioned within the perforator housing () and a penetrator () radially outwardly extendable from the perforator housing (). The power unit housing () is operably associated with the perforator housing () and the moveable shaft () operably associated with the mandrel () such that when the downhole power unit () is activated and the moveable shaft () is longitudinally shifted relative to the power unit housing (), the mandrel () is longitudinally shifted relative to the perforator housing () and at least a portion of the penetrator () is extended radially outwardly from the perforator housing ().

Downhole perforator assembly and method for use of same

A sand control completion () for installation in a wellbore () includes first and second packers () that define a first zone () in the wellbore (). A production tubing () extends substantially through the first zone (). Positioned between the first and second packers () are a sand control screen (), an inflow control valve () and a crossover valve (). The sand control screen forms a first annulus () with the production tubing () and a second annulus with the wellbore (). The inflow control valve () is operable to selectively allow and prevent fluid communication between the first annulus () and the interior of the production tubing (). The crossover valve () is operable to selectively allow and prevent fluid communication between the production tubing () and the second annulus.

Sand control completion having smart well capability and method for use of same

An apparatus and method of installing a casing string in a borehole, the apparatus comprising a propulsion system movable through the borehole; the propulsion system comprising an attachment member; and the attachment member being engagable with the casing string causing the casing string to move with the propulsion system through the borehole. The apparatus further including a conduit for circulating fluids through the propulsion system to provide the power to move the propulsion system. The propulsion system may also be disposable.

Apparatus and methods for installing casing in a borehole

A system and method for managing a new well or an existing well. The system includes a sensor and a control disposed within a well, a surface control system at the surface, a continuous tubing string extending into the well, and a conductor disposed on the continuous tubing string. The conductor connects the sensor and control to the surface control system to allow the surface control system to monitor downhole conditions and to operate the control in response to the downhole conditions. Another conductor may also be provided along the continuous tubing string to conduct power from a surface power supply to the control. The conductors are preferably housed in the wall of the continuous tubing string and may be electrical conductors, optical fibers, and/or hydraulic conduits. The control is preferably equipped with a sensor that verifies operation and status of the device and provides the verification to the surface processor via the conductor. Contemplated controls include valves, sliding sleeves, chokes, filters, packers, plugs, and pumps. The system can be installed through the production tubing of an existing well.
