A non-transitory computer-readable medium may store computer executable code. The computer executable code may include instructions to identify a turn to be taken by an agricultural vehicle and to receive a first set of data from at least one of a spatial locating system, one or more speed sensors, and one or more measurement devices. The computer executable code may also include instructions to calculate a second set of data based upon the first set of data. Further, the computer executable code may include instructions to select a vehicle action in anticipation of the turn, based on the first and second sets of data and to control a plurality of actuators to perform the vehicle action.

Automatic guidance system with stability control for an agricultural vehicle

A system and method is provided for adaptive control of at least one parameter of an auto guidance control algorithm for a vehicle. The parameters may be varied according to a previously established look up table, or automatically adapted through the use of control logic, such as a 'fuzzy logic' algorithm. The control parameters that can be adaptively controlled include steered wheel turn rate, proportional valve current gain, line acquisition rate and/or auto guidance control valve current limits. The control algorithm responds to the vehicle's operating parameters such as vehicle speed, tracking error, predicted heading, and hydraulic oil temperature to make adjustments to the auto guidance control parameters.

System and method for automatic guidance control of a vehicle

An apparatus and method for determining when a component of a work vehicle experiences vibration above a predetermined threshold, and responding to the vibration so that the vibration is reduced below the predetermined threshold. The apparatus, which is in a work vehicle that includes a chassis, an operator's cab and an active cab suspension system, includes a sensor that is configured to sense a quantity representative of the vibration experienced by the component of the work vehicle and to develop a first signal indicative of that quantity. The apparatus also includes a signal processor that is coupled to the sensor and is configured to develop, in response to the first signal, a second signal indicative of whether the vibration experienced by the component is above the predetermined threshold. The apparatus further includes a device that is coupled to the signal processor and, in response to the second signal, is either configured to provide an indication or configured to take an action to reduce the vibration below the predetermined threshold when the vibration is above the predetermined threshold.

Apparatus for facilitating reduction of vibration in a work vehicle having an active CAB suspension system

An apparatus for measuring at least one parameter of material and generating multiple frequency signals having frequencies selectable by control signals, combining the multiple frequency signals into a combined frequency signal having multiple frequency components, and applying the combined frequency signal as an excitation signal to a sensing element. The frequency response of the material is determined at each of the multiple frequencies using output signals from the sensing element, and a frequency analysis is performed to determine the parameters of the material. The sensing element may include a capaciflector sensor located non-intrusively along the surface of a conveyor. However, other sensing elements such as capacitive, resistive and inductive elements may be used. The parameters being measured may include mass flow rate and moisture content. The apparatus includes a frequency generating circuit for generating a frequency signal having multiple frequency components, a sensing circuit which applies the frequency signal as an excitation signal to a sensing element, a signal conditioning circuit which determines the frequency response of the material at the multiple frequencies based upon output signals from the sensing element, and a signal processing circuit for performing a frequency analysis. The apparatus may be used to measure parameters of material being moved by a vehicle-mounted conveyor. A pink or white noise generator may be used for the frequency generating circuit.

A method and apparatus for measuring at least one parameter of material are disclosed herein. A work vehicle steering system for a work vehicle having a frame, a plurality of wheels, and a coupling assembly coupled to at least one of the wheels is provided. The coupling assembly includes first, second, and third rotatable assemblies. The first rotatable assembly is coupled to the frame and is configured to rotate on a first axis. The second rotatable assembly is coupled to the first rotatable assembly and is configured to rotate on a second axis. The third rotatable assembly is coupled between the second rotatable assembly and the wheel and is configured to rotate on a third axis. The coupling assembly provides the wheel with three degrees of movement.

Method and apparatus measuring parameters of material

A load sensor is provided on a tractor to sense a load in the upper link of a three point hitch. The load sensor is fixed to the upper link, rather than the tractor to move with the upper link rather than the tractor. This arrangement permits the load sensor to always indicate the longitudinal load placed on the upper link.

Upper link sensing

A control system is disclosed for controlling a power takeoff (PTO) shaft of a work vehicle (e.g., a tractor). The work vehicle includes an engine and an operator station, and the PTO shaft transfers power from the engine to an implement. The control system includes a remote switch, a vehicle speed sensor, and a control circuit. The remote switch is located remotely from the operator station and provides a remote switch signal to the control circuit to engage and disengage rotational movement of the PTO shaft. The vehicle speed sensor provides a vehicle speed signal to the control circuit representative of a speed of the work vehicle. The control circuit receives the remote switch signal and the vehicle speed signal and, when the vehicle speed signal exceeds a predetermined vehicle speed, the control circuit prevents engagement and disengagement of the PTO shaft with the remote switch.

A method of automatically controlling a power takeoff shaft of a work vehicle having a hitch includes automatically initiating engagement of the power takeoff shaft as the hitch is lowered such that the power takeoff shaft reaches clutch lockup approximately at a predetermined hitch position setpoint. A method of controlling the engagement of a power takeoff shaft of a work vehicle having a hitch includes calculating a hitch drop time from a first hitch position to a second hitch position based on a hitch drop rate, comparing the hitch drop time to a power takeoff shaft engagement time, and decreasing the hitch drop rate if the power takeoff shaft engagement time is greater than the hitch drop time.

Automatic power takeoff control system

A method and apparatus for measuring at least one parameter including mass flow rate or moisture content of material moved by a conveyor are disclosed herein. The method includes the steps of applying an electric field to the material using a non-intrusive sensor assembly, generating signals related to the dielectric value of the material, and processing the signals to determine the parameter. The apparatus includes a capaciflector sensor assembly located along a surface of the conveyor to generate an electric field applied to the material and a processing circuit to determine the parameter based upon the signals output from the sensor assembly. The sensor assembly includes a first conductor spaced between a stationary member of the conveyor and the material, and a second conductor spaced between the first conductor and the stationary member to act as a shield for reducing parasitic capacitance between the first conductor and a reference plane. The first conductor forms a first electrode of a sensor capacitor and the material forms a second electrode, and the capacitance depends on the parameters of the material. A cover may be located between the sensor assembly and material. The processing circuit performs a frequency analysis over any number of frequencies to determine the mass flow rate, moisture content or type of material, and the conveyor's speed.

An apparatus and method is disclosed for wireless remote control of an output element coupled to a work vehicle. The output element performs work external to the vehicle and is actuated by an actuator controlled by an output controller in response to at least a remote control signal. The apparatus includes a wireless remote transmitter movable with respect to the vehicle and a wireless receiver supported by the vehicle. The transmitter has an actuatable input device for generating a command signal, a transmitter antenna, and a transmitter control circuit which receives the command signal from the input device, generates the remote control signal in response to the command signal, and applies the remote control signal to the transmitter antenna for wireless transmission to the work vehicle. The receiver includes a receiver antenna and a receiver control circuit which receives the remote control signal from the receiver antenna after transmission by the transmitter, and applies the remote control signal to the output controller.
