A device for supporting an electronic display includes a base, a display mount having a first position and a second position relative to the base, and a connection mechanism positioned between the base and the display mount. The connection mechanism is configured to rotate and translate the display mount from the first position to the second position according to a torque curve. The torque curve includes a discovery stage adjacent the first position, an initiation stage rotationally after the discovery stage, and an approach stage rotationally after the initiation stage. The connection mechanism applies a force toward the first position in the discovery stage. The connection mechanism having an initiation force applied toward the first position that is greater than the force in the discovery stage. The approach stage having an approach force applied toward the second position.

Systems and methods of providing a multipositional display

A device for supporting an electronic display includes a base, a display mount, and a connection mechanism positioned between the base and the display mount. The display mount is movably connected to the base and movable between a first position and a second position. The connection mechanism is configured to couple a rotation of the display mount relative to base to a translation of the display mount relative to the base such that the display mount experiences rotation and translation when the display mount is moved between the first position and the second position.

Table saws and table saws designed to incorporate safety systems are disclosed. The table saws may include vertical slide elevation mechanisms positioned toward the rear of the saw and constructed so that an arbor block and blade can retract when a safety system detects an unsafe condition. The disclosure provides for a mounting apparatus for mounting a computing accessory to a display device. The mounting apparatus includes an attachment portion for holding a computing accessory body. An extension extends away from the attachment portion and includes one or more permanent magnets. When the mounting apparatus is in a mounted location on the display device, (i) a display-facing portion of the extension extends along and faces a rear surface of the display device; (ii) the one or more permanent magnets attract the extension to ferromagnetic material in the display device to magnetically hold the mounting apparatus in the mounted location; and (iii) the attachment portion holds the computing accessory body adjacent an outer edge of the display device.

Various embodiments relating to a large-format touch display having a continuous touch surface that is flat and free from visual defects are disclosed. In one embodiment, a display assembly includes a display stacking including a cover sheet having an exterior surface and an interior surface opposing the exterior surface and an image-emitting layer secured to the interior surface, a carriage assembly configured to hold the display stack in a fixed position in the display assembly, and a plurality of fastener pucks positioned adjacent a perimeter of the interior surface of the cover sheet and securing the carriage assembly to the interior surface of the cover sheet via a curable adhesive.

A tensioning system includes a layer of a device and a flexible overlay film that is configured to cover the layer of the device. A tensioning mechanism is configured to tension the flexible overlay film against the layer of the device throughout a periphery. The tensioning mechanism also is configured to allow movement of the flexible overlay film in two dimensions.

A method of using a phase change ink imaging device includes receiving an nink stick in an ink loader of a phase change ink imaging device where n is a predetermined number. The nink stick includes at least one sensor contour formed thereon. The at least one sensor contour is associated with an ink stick identifier. The at least one sensor contour on the nink stick is detected using a sensor system in the ink loader. At least one signal is generated based on the detection of the at least one sensor contour, the at least one signal being indicative of the ink stick identifier. The ink stick identifier indicated by the at least one signal is then stored as a designated ink stick identifier for use with the phase change ink imaging device.

Method for reconfiguring ink loaders to accept different ink stick identifiers

An ink stick for use in a phase change ink imaging device comprises an ink stick body configured for insertion in an insertion orientation into an ink loader of the phase change ink imaging device. The ink stick body has a plurality of surfaces. A visual orientation indicator is formed on at least one surface in the plurality of surfaces. The visual orientation indicator is configured to visually indicate a direction of orientation of at least one surface of the plurality of surfaces to place the ink stick body in the insertion orientation.
