The invention relates to a laminated board grade structure used for low cost, enhanced graphics packaging. The product contains an unbleached or bleached substrate board and a lightweight coated unprinted white paper grade laminated to the unbleached board substrate to produce a product with a smooth coated, glossy surface for quality graphics printing.

Laminated board for enhanced graphics packaging and strength

An improved paperboard beverage carrier is disclosed having an improved lift handle. The improved lift handle comprises a laterally extending elongated handle opening within the top panel of the carrier. At least one continuous score line encircles the handle opening and extends onto the carrier side panels to limit the propagation of paperboard tears emanating from the handle opening. Predetermined perforated tear lines are further provided extending from the lateral ends of the handle opening and terminating at the encircling score line.

Paperboard beverage carrier

An elongate generally-rectangular single handle opening is disposed transversely across the top panel of a sleeve-type carrier. Optionally, a generally-rectangular stress-relief score line arrangement extends transversely completely across the top panel and down into the side panels, and is centered around the handle opening. A generally-rectangular tear-stop score line arrangement extends transversely only partially across the top panel, and encircles the handle opening between the handle opening and the stress-relief score line arrangement. In this manner, tears originating at the handle opening are substantially prevented from propagating across the top panel of the carrier and compromising the structural integrity of the carrier.

Tear-stop score encircling single opening carrier handles

Apparatus enabling a vehicle operator to remotely control the positioning of an object, such as a rear view mirror, pivotally mounted on the exterior of the vehicle. The apparatus includes a support member for the object to the positioned, a base member attached to the vehicle exterior and a ball and socket joint connecting the support member to the base member. There are a pair of linkages, each including a helical spring extending between the base member and the support member. Each linkage is actuable to pivot the support member about a respective one of two mutually transverse pivotal axes. Each linkage is driven by a reversible motor operated by a four position switch inside the vehicle.

Remote control apparatus

Apparatus enabling a vehicle operator to remotely control the positioning of an object, such as a rear view mirror, pivotally mounted on the exterior of the vehicle. The apparatus includes a support member for the object to be positioned, a base member attached to the vehicle exterior and a ball and socket joint connecting the support member to the base member. There are a pair of linkages, each including a helical spring extending between the base member and the support member. Each linkage is actuable to pivot the support member about a respective one of two mutually transverse pivotal axes. Each linkage is driven by a reversible motor operated by a four position switch inside the vehicle.

An improved brake light switch that is integrated into the brake pedal and actuated by the application of pressure to the pedal. The pedal pad is movable relative to the pedal and this relative movement effects closure of the switch.

Switch assembly for automotive pedal construction

Precast concrete structural units and composite wall structure comprising a plurality of the units stacked vertically in horizontal rows. Each unit comprises a pair of laterally spaced longitudinally extending side panels. A pair of laterally extending connecting arms are connected to or formed integrally with the panels at their respective inner surfaces whereby to secure the panels in relatively fixed position. A mortise-tendon connection between superposed units is provided with a vertically recessed mortise at the bottom of each connecting arm and a complementary vertically projecting tendon at the top of each arm. Each mortise and tendon defines a pair of laterally spaced oppositely facing generally vertical bearing surfaces and each mortise and tendon is approximately 1/3 the total width of the associated structural unit. Longitudinal spacing of connecting arms from each other is approximately twice the longitudinal spacing of each arm from the adjacent end of the side panels. Thus, the units may be stacked vertically in alignment or in horizontally staggered rows with horizontal displacement between units in adjacent rows approximately one half of the length of a unit. The connecting arms are thus aligned vertically to provide columnar openings which may be filled for added structural integrity of the wall and to provide a gravity wall. A composite wall may include rows of wider units at the bottom with rows of narrow units thereabove as well as a narrow-wider-narrower arrangement and conversion units may be employed at the interface between wider and narrower units. A bearing wall may include vertical tie rods and bearing pads or other material may be employed in joints between units. Filter and trim material may also be employed in bearing and other walls. A shingle effect may also be provided to conceal horizontal joint lines. Double mortise-tendon units, vertical partition means, hold-down slabs, L-shaped top units and other features are also disclosed.
