Systems, methods, and computer programs are disclosed for providing power-efficient file system operation to a non-volatile block memory. An exemplary embodiment of a system comprises a non-volatile block memory having a file system, a dynamic random access memory (DRAM), and a system on chip (SoC). The SoC comprises a central processing unit (CPU), one or more non-core processors, a DRAM controller, a data interface coupled to an off-chip processor, and a multi-host storage controller. The CPU allocates a storage buffer in the non-volatile block memory. The multi-host storage controller comprises a virtualized client interface for providing the non-core and off-chip processors with direct read/write file system access using the allocated storage buffer while the CPU and the DRAM are in a low power state.

Systems and methods for providing power-efficient file system operation to a non-volatile block memory

Various arrangements are presented to facilitate the handoff of presentation of content between a head mounted display (HMD) and another presentation device, such as a television. For example, based upon separate events, video and audio being presented to a user via a presentation device may be handed off to an HMD that the user is wearing for continued presentation. In response to a first reference event occurring, the HMD may initiate continued presentation of the video content that was being viewed by the user on the presentation device. At a later time, in response to a second reference event, the HMD may initiate continued presentation of the audio content.

Systems and methods for managing content presentation involving a head mounted display and a presentation device

Methods, systems and devices provide for refreshing a data image stored on a NAND memory device. Aspects include sequentially copying each of a series of static data partitions into a scrub portion that does not store data image partitions identified in the partition table. The sequential copying begins with a last static data partition and proceeds sequentially to a first static data partition when the scrub portion occupies higher order addresses than the last address of the last static data partition. Alternatively, the sequential copying begins with the first static data partition and proceeds sequentially to the last static data partition when the scrub portion occupies addresses that are lower than the first address of the first static data partition. The partition table may be updated as each static data partition is stored to the scrub portion. Such operations enable fail-safe scrubbing and refreshing of data in a NAND device.
