A portable tool having a frame, a power unit having a control that is operable to place the power unit in first and second different states, a control actuator that is operable to change the power unit from one of the first and second states into the other of the first and second states, and an arm connecting between at least one of the frame and power unit and the control actuator for supporting the control actuator in an operative position relative to the frame. At least a part of the arm has a plurality of degrees of freedom of movement relative to the frame to allow selective situation of the control actuator by a user.

Control for portable power tool

A portable tool including a frame, a working element on the frame and a power unit for operating the working element. A switch on the frame switches between a first state, e.g., stop operation, and a second state, e.g., running operation. An actuator on the frame is repositionable relative to the frame to selectively change the switch from its first state into its second state and in a first path to change the switch from its first state into its second state. The actuator is mounted for movement relative to the frame in a second path that is different than the first path to change the switch from its first state into its second state.

A shower shaver is made from two plastic piece parts. A first part is a handle in the nature of a pipe terminating in a cavity. The other piece part delivers water which strikes a razor blade and then exits under the cutting edge of the blade with enough force to wash debris away from the blade. A valve on the shaver handle provides a continuously variable control over the flow of water to the shaver. A tubing or hose attached to the shower shaver leads to a nipple which may be interposed between an outlet and a pipe. A quick disconnect connector enables the tubing to be connected to or disconnected from the nipple. A bracket or hanger is attached to a wall in any suitable out of the way location in order to receive and support the shaver when the shaver and the quick disconnect connector on the tubing is not in use.

Shower shaver

An air bubbling mat, which may be placed in the bottom a bath tub, provides a turbulence within the water. The mat includes three hinged or plugged in, and hollow blow molded sections with depressions on one side to form air passage ways through the hollow bath mat. In one embodiment, short sections of convoluted hose interconnect the three sections at the hinge. In another embodiment, plug-in connectors provide communication for pressurized air between said sections. This embodiment may also include a latch means to secure the mats together. An input port is centrally formed on at least one edge of the center section to give a better distribution of air within the air passage ways and to drain the mat. On the opposite side, a centrally located port may be provided in most embodiments to make a connection for attachments.

Air bubbling mats for therapeutically agitating bath water

A whirlpool home appliance is built into a U-shaped housing for fitting over and clamping to the side of a bath tub. A water pump is in the side of the housing which is in the bath tub in order to energize the water in the tub. An air pump is in the side of the housing which is outside the tub in order to pump air to a bubbling bath mat which fits on the bottom of a bath tub. The motor for the appliance is a reversing motor which runs in either of two directions. A one-way clutch disconnects the water pump when the bubbling air mat is used. The air pump may run all of the time since the loading of an air pump is not so great that it must be disconnected when not in use. The housing is attached to the tub by a screw which has a large area of relatively soft padding with a radially distributed flexibility so that there is no abrupt discontinuity of clamping forces. The pad avoids and prevents damage to a plastic or fiber glass bath tub when the screw tightened.

An ashtray for eliminating emitted smoke is disclosed. The ashtray defines, within its housing, a predetermined, fixed filter region. An air filter is positioned within and confined by the filter region to ensure that substantially all air passes through the filter medium of the air filter.
