A mating connector assembly for electrically coupling modular electrical devices. A first stationary connector is coupled to a first rigid circuit board positioned within a first housing of a first modular electrical device. The first floating connector is coupled to a flexible circuit element positioned within a second housing of a second modular electrical device, the flexible circuit element coupled to a circuit board positioned within a second housing of a second modular electrical device. The second housing includes a first latch plate adjustable between an unlatched position and a latched position, the first latch plate including a biasing member, such that, when the first modular electronic device is pressed together with the second modular electronic device, the biasing member applies a force to the first floating connector during a latch plate transition position to ensure that the first floating connector has fully mated with the first stationary connector.

Modular overload relay assembly with mechanically isolated connector

Cooling systems include a first passageway forming member that includes first and second ends and at least one connecting recess that opens into first and second passageways formed by the first passageway forming member. A second passageway forming member includes first and second ends and inlet and outlet ports proximate the first end such that the first end, including an elastomeric seal and the inlet and outlet ports, is sealably insertable in and removable from the at least one connecting recess, where the inlet port opens into the first passageway and the outlet port opens into the second passageway, and where, when the first end is inserted in the at least one connecting recess, the elastomeric seal is sandwiched between and in substantial contact with both the first end and the first passageway forming member.

Modular liquid cooling system

A method and kit of components for configuring electronics cooling configurations, the kit comprising a plurality of passageway forming members, each forming member including an extruded member having first and second ends and forming at least one passageway and at least one of an input port and an output port that opens into the passageway, each forming member also including at least one plug insert secured to the second end of the forming member to block the at least one passageway, a plurality of elastomeric seals, a plurality of mechanical fasteners, wherein forming members can be arranged adjacent each other with ports aligned and the fasteners can be used to mechanically fasten the forming members together with seals there between to form various cooling configurations.

A system and method for manufacturing a power bus assembly is provided. The power bus assembly includes a first conductive sheet configured to receive a positive charge and distribute the positive charge to a plurality of connection points formed thereon. The power bus assembly also includes a second conductive sheet configured to receive a negative charge and distribute the negative charge to a plurality of connection points formed thereon. Additionally, the power bus assembly includes an insulating sheet arranged between the first conductive sheet and the second conductive sheet to electrically isolate the first conductive sheet from the second conductive sheet. A plurality of vice fasteners are included to secure the first conductive sheet, the second conductive sheet, and the insulating sheet together to form the power bus assembly.

Adhesive-less DC bus system and method for manufacturing

A cooling system () is provided for electrical components () in which passageways () are inserted in non-magnetic cores of the electrical components, and in which the passageways () provide both inflow and outflow of a cooling medium. The passageways () can be formed by drilling holes in a core of an electrical component or by mounting closed-end tubes () on a base plate-cooling manifold () or can be part of a conduit assembly (). The tubes () are split-flow closed-end tubes inserted from one end of the electrical component (). The tubes and passageways () may be partitioned into two halves or into two concentric portions. O-ring seals () are provided around the base of the tubes to seal the areas where the passageways communicate with hollow portions of base plates for supplying the cooling medium.

Cooling of electrical components with split-flow closed-end devices

A cooling system is provided for electrical components in which cooling assemblies () are inserted in non-magnetic cores of the electrical components, and in which tubes provide both inflow and outflow of a cooling medium. The non-magnetic cores may be bobbins () for an inductor assembly or the core of a capacitor (). The tubes may form a loop () in more than one plane to prevent inducing current in a single turn, or they may be split-flow closed-end tubes () inserted from one end of the electrical component. The bobbin cores () are also constructed with a non-conductive portion to prevent inducing a current in a single turn of a conductor.

Core cooling for electrical components

A mounting assembly is provided for fastening an HMI housing onto a panel. The housing includes a slot that is sloped with respect to the panel. A clamp is provided having an outwardly extending pin and connected flange that is inserted in the slot. The clamp is translated along the slot until engaging the panel wall, at which point the clamp is rotated in the slot to lock the clamp in position.

A filter assembly for a coolant air stream flowing through an LRU box has a base frame with a large opening superimposed on the perforated top surface of the box. A filter element is superimposed over the opening and a cover having a large opening is hinged to the base frame and latched thereto with its opening aligned with the other opening. The filter assembly is clamped by means of a harness to the LRU box with a clamping band that wraps around one end of the LRU box and one end portion of the base frame simultaneously. Spring tensioned cable sections attach to the band and extend diagonally along the sides of the LRU box and then through eyelets on the opposite end portion of the base frame so the cable develops a vertical component of force for clamping the assembly to the LRU box.

Filter for mounting on an avionic line replaceable unit

A filter assembly for a line replaceable unit (LRU) uses a four-walled frame to define a plenum which mounts in sealing relationship with the top surface of an LRU. The frame interfaces with the LRU through a gasket and there is a gasket on a rim extending from the LRU walls on which the filter element is superimposed such that the filter element, the walls of the frame and the perforated top surface of the LRU define a plenum. When the frame is integral to or mounted to the avionic tray that supports the LRU, the filter element is mounted to the top of the frame and the hold-down cover compresses the filter element to the frame such that intervening gaskets effect a seal between the parts so that all air entering the LRU under the influence of negative pressure applied to holes in the bottom of the LRU must pass through the large area filter element. The cover is hinged so that it can be unlocked from the avionic tray and swung to a position wherein the filter element is accessible for being grasped, removed and replaced with a clean element without requiring withdrawal of the LRU from the avionic tray.
