The present application discloses devices that ablate human tissue. The device comprises a catheter with a shaft through which an ablative agent can travel, a liquid reservoir and a heating component, which may comprise a length of coiled tubing contained within a heating element, wherein activation of said heating element causes said coiled tubing to increase from a first temperature to a second temperature and wherein the increase causes a conversion of liquid within the coiled tubing to vapor, a reusable cord connecting the outlet of the reservoir to the inlet of the heating component, and a single use cord connecting a pressure-resistant inlet port of a vapor based ablation device to the outlet of the heating component.

The present specification discloses a combined drape and carrying bag unit used in medical and surgical settings with an indicator attached to a drawstring of the unit. Conversion of the unit from a drape or mat configuration involves pulling on exposed drawstring sections and results in deployment of the identifying indicator. The indicator includes preprinted information, a barcode for scanning, and/or space for the inscription of information by medical personnel. The inclusion of an integrated indicator with the combined drape and carrying bag unit informs medical personnel of the contents of the unit when in the bag configuration and obviates the need for opening the bag and discovering its contents, thereby reducing exposure of medical personnel to biohazard waste.

An improved tissue specimen trapping device for collecting and separating solid particles and materials from body fluids has a porous separator that rests on a shelf-like annular ledge between upper and lower portions of the tissue collection container. At least one tissue collection basket removably disposed in the tissue collection container above the separator shelf has a porous bottom surface to filter tissue specimens from body fluids and has downward projections to the tissue collection basket above the separator shelf to create a space therebetween.

The present specification discloses a disposable tubing joint connector system which connects a tubing set and an endoscope. The present invention provides a combination drape and carrying bag unit including a singular sheet or plurality of joined sheet of pliable materials, both permeable and impermeable, of size to define a mat to accommodate a working medical procedural area thereon, upon which may be placed in single or combination, medical equipment and patient. The sheet has a drawstring casing extending about its periphery. The casing has openings therein on opposite sides of the mat and a drawstring is received in the drawstring casing and is of size to extend continuously about the periphery of the sheet when it defines a mat. The drawstring is slidably received in the drawstring casing so that when portions of the drawstring are pulled out of the drawstring casing through the openings, the periphery of the sheet forms gathers adjacent the casing to permit the periphery to reduce in size whereby the unit forms a carrying bag. Those portions of the drawstring which are pulled out of the casing may be secured together adjacent the openings to form a handle for the carrying bag.

A firearm scope which is coupled in axial alignment with a firearm barrel includes a number of components. A tubular scope barrel is provided. An objective lens assembly is coupled to one end of the tubular scope barrel for receiving a target image. An erector lens assembly is disposed within the tubular scope for processing the target image. An ocular lens assembly is coupled to the opposite end of the tubular scope barrel for viewing the target image. A reticle is provided in the tubular scope barrel, and is visible through the ocular lens for defining an aiming point in the target image. A means for visually indicating the tilt of the firearm scope and barrel from vertical is provided in the tubular scope barrel, and is visible through the ocular lens assembly.

An improvement is provided for a radio system for a vehicle, such as an automobile. A pressure sensitive transducer is mounted externally on the body of the vehicle and in a position of exposure to pressure changes resulting from air resistance as the vehicle travels. The speed of a vehicle is directly related to level of ambient noise, such as road noise. The pressure sensitive transducer, provides an electrical output which varies as a function of pressure changes on the transducer. The variable electrical output is coupled either to the electrical preamplifier in the radio receiver which controls the audio volume of the radio, or in circuit to the radio speakers. The audio volume of the radio is thereby increased as the vehicle moves faster, and decreases as the vehicle slows, so as to modulate the audio output of the radio to compensate for ambient noise.
