A pad arrangement comprises a layer of fabric with a pad connected to the layer of fabric. The pad includes a plurality of energy absorbing structures. Each of the plurality of energy absorbing structures includes an outer surface connected to the layer of fabric. Each of the outer surfaces is spaced apart from other outer surfaces on the pad. A plurality of buttresses extend between the energy absorbing structures, each of the plurality of buttresses extending downwardly and away from the outer surface of one or more of the energy absorbing structures.

Pad and fabric arrangement and method of making the same

A pad arrangement comprises a layer of fabric with a pad connected to the layer of fabric. The pad includes a plurality of energy absorbing structures. Each of the plurality of energy absorbing structures includes an outer surface connected to the layer of fabric. Each of the outer surfaces is spaced apart from other outer surfaces on the pad. A plurality of buttresses extend between the energy absorbing structures. A plurality of cuts extend into the buttresses. The plurality of cuts may be provided as slits in the buttresses, with the slits configured to facilitate flexing of the pad between the plurality of energy absorbing structures.

Padding arrangement and method of making the same

A method of manufacturing a compression garment comprises obtaining a plurality of model measurements at various locations on a model body. Thereafter, a plurality of garment dimensions are calculated for various locations on the garment. Each calculation of a garment dimension is based at least in part on one of the plurality of model measurements and at least in part on a target elongation for the garment. In at least one embodiment, calculations for various garment dimensions are performed by inserting the plurality of model measurements into a pattern equation that includes a model measurement variable and a target elongation variable. After calculating garment dimensions, a plurality of fabric segments are prepared for the garment based on the calculated dimensions. Each of the plurality of fabric sections comprise elastane and are characterized by a modulus of elasticity.

Uniform compression garment and method of manufacturing garment

A garment comprises a body fabric having a durable water-repellent finish that substantially resists water entry pressure. At least one vent is provided in an opening in the body fabric. The vent comprises an exterior layer, an interior layer, and a spacer layer positioned between the interior layer and the exterior layer. The exterior layer and the interior layer include a durable water repellent finish that does not substantially resist water entry pressure. The spacer includes a plurality of air passages and separates the interior layer and the exterior layer such that the interior layer does not contact the exterior layer within the vent.

Multi-layer passive water barrier system

An athletic padding arrangement includes a garment made of a fabric and a plurality of resilient bulge shaped gripping members disposed on the fabric. The gripping members provide at least one high friction area on the garment, each of the gripping members is uniform in composition. At least one protective pad is releasably positioned on the garment with and underside of the protective pad in contact with the at least one high friction area. The gripping members exert a frictional force on the underside of the protective pad that is greater than the frictional force exerted by the fabric on the protective pad. The garment may be, for example, a shirt or a pant comprised of a compression fabric with moisture wicking properties.

Garment having improved contact areas

A garment which resists sliding of protective pads during use includes a fabric with high-friction areas. The high-friction areas include numerous gripping members made of a second material with high-friction and adapted to exert a frictional force on, for example, a protective pad.
