A valve system may include a valve having a housing with a bore and a valve member positioned within the bore. The valve member may include a valve shaft with a recess. The valve system may also include an actuator having an actuator shaft with an end portion. An adapter may couple the valve shaft and the actuator shaft. The adapter may include a body having a shape corresponding to a shape of the recess of the valve shaft for fitting the adapter within the recess and an aperture extending into the body. The aperture may have a shape corresponding to a shape of the end portion of the actuator shaft for press fitting the adapter onto the actuator shaft. The adapter may fit within the recess and press fit coupled to the actuator shaft.

Adapter for a valve system

A unidirectional torque-transfer coupling is disclosed. The coupling may include a first ring and a second ring that share a common axis, wherein the first ring is configured to rotate about the common axis from a first position to a second position; a first member extending from the first ring; and a second member extending from the second ring, wherein, when the first ring is in the second position and a valve coupled to the second ring is in an open position, the second member engages the first ring, and wherein, when the first ring moves from the second position to the first position, the first member causes the second ring to rotate in a same direction as the first ring Furthermore, when the first ring is in the second position, a valve is substantially unrestricted by the first ring with regard to moving to an open position.

Unidirectional torque-transfer coupling

A method for ventilating a crankcase of an internal combustion engine using natural gas as a fuel source may include filtering ambient air through an air filter. The method may also include heating the filtered ambient air by a jacket heat exchanger. The method may further include directing the heated ambient air through an inlet of the crankcase to purge blow-by gases including natural gas from the crankcase.
