A System Platform establishes a Genuine User ID ('GUID') (based upon input received from an Identity Management Source), creates a user profile for an Intended User, generates a unique data set based upon input associated with the user profile and a digital device it has registered to the Intended User, which is securely provisioned on the digital device. The output of the GUID in combination with the output of an algorithm in a provisioning application enables the digital device to respond to Access Requests at an Access Point. The response from the genuine Intended User's application on their genuine digital device produces a unique data package which combines the GUID, a device ID for the digital device and the output of the algorithm using the payload obtained from one or more data management sources. The unique data package can be tailored for many different uses by the intended user, including uses which are attended or unattended, with varying levels of security, and can or will have many different attributes, depending upon its use, including, but not limited to, value, authenticity, dynamic, secure, valid, reliable, customizable, rules & permission based, timely, on demand, and it can be time, geo or event based.

In a system according to the invention, there is a database system, a user appliance, a first communication channel and a second communication channel. The database system may have records that are alterable by a service provider. The user appliance may have an input device with polysemous keys. Further, the user appliance may also have a monitor, which is able to provide the user with information corresponding to records of the database system.

Information delivery system and method for mobile appliances

A system and method for automated dictionary population is provided to facilitate the entry of textual material in dictionaries for enhancing word prediction. The automated dictionary population system is useful in association with a mobile device including at least one dictionary which includes entries. The device receives a communication which is parsed and textual data extracted. The text is compared to the entries of the dictionaries to identify new words. Statistical information for the parsed words, including word usage frequency, recency, or likelihood of use, is generated. Profanities may be processed by identifying profanities, modifying the profanities, and asking the user to provide feedback. Phrases are identified by phrase markers. Lastly, the new words are stored in a supplementary word list as single words or by linking the words of the identified phrases to preserve any phrase relationships. Likewise, the statistical information may be stored.

Systems and methods for an automated personalized dictionary generator for portable devices

User input from a reduced keypad is disambiguated and compared with a first dynamic lexicon, and predicted matches (e.g. either a single word or phrase) are offered. If a user continues to type beyond a boundary condition, then input is no longer predicted from the first lexicon, but instead is interpreted as a request for matches from a second, quasi-static lexicon allowing words or phrases to be entered. When the entry is accepted, data is transmitted to a remote receiver and may be parsed as an inquiry for subsequent operation. Following acceptance, the apparatus invokes a program suitable for interacting with the response generated to the inquiry.

Inquiry-oriented user input apparatus and method

Appliances, methods and devices are disclosed in which a first selection corresponding to symbols is used to identify a non-information function. An object corresponding to the non-information function may be provided and selected to indicate a user's desire to execute tasks of the function. Upon receiving the user's selection, the function may be executed.
