The subject invention is an electrical connector system for a pair of printed circuit boards which utilizes a vertical female connector which is to be connected to one printed circuit board and a separate right angled male connector which has a housing which includes a plurality of right angled first electrically positive terminals which are to be used to connect to a second printed circuit board. Both printed circuit boards are connected together in a right angle relationship with one printed circuit board being located edgewise to the other printed circuit board. A mass of separate positive circuit paths is obtained by the terminals from one printed circuit board to the other. The vertical female connector and the right angled male electrical connector are fixedly mounted on their respective printed circuit boards.

Electrical connector system

A first embodiment of electrical connector assembly establishing direct power to a plug-in module which utilizes a female connector that is electrically connected to a pair of spaced apart buss bars. The female connector is mounted in a fixed position in conjunction with a backplane. A male connector, which has a pair of male pins, is electrically connected to the female connector with this male connector to then be electrically connected to a plug-in module. A second embodiment of electrical connector assembly is for establishing a direct power supply to a mezzanine printed circuit board which is mounted parallel to but spaced from the plug-in module. The second embodiment of electrical connector assembly also utilizes a female connector that is connected to a pair of spaced apart buss bars. A male connector is then mounted in conjunction with the female connector with this male connector being mounted on the plug-in module. Mounted on the plug-in module is a female socket connector which is not electrically connected to the plug-in module. A pair of electrically conducting strips connect between the male connector and the female socket connector which is to be connected to appropriate pins mounted on a mezzanine board. Therefore, electrical power is transmitted directly from the buss bars to the mezzanine board rather than through the plug-in module.

Electrical connector assembly

A new process for producing calcium chloride and other metal halides from the carbonates, bicarbonates, oxides of these metals. The process utilizes the discovery that hydrogen halides, when used in a true or conventional fluidizing medium in shallow beds of the aforementioned solids at moderately elevated temperatures in a continuous counter current process results in the conversion of the metal carbonates, bicarbonates, and oxides, into metal halides and carbon dioxide gas and/or water vapor. The process is carried out in a series of true or conventional fluidized beds preferable but not necessarily arranged in a vertical configuration so that the solids flow downward due to the fluidized process and the hydrogen halides flow counter currently in an upward direction producing metal halides at the bottom and pure carbon dioxide gas and/or water vapor at the top.

Process for making calcium chlorides

A process for producing potassium nitrate and other metal nitrates from the chlorides, sulfates, oxides of these metals. The process uses nitrogen dioxide as a true fluidizing medium in shallow beds of the aforementioned solids at moderately elevated temperatures in a continuous counter current process to convert the metal chlorides, sulfates, and oxides, into metal nitrates and effluent gas and water vapor. The process may be carried out in a series of true fluidized beds arranged in a vertical configuration so that the solids flow downward due to the fluidized process and the nitrogen dioxide gas flows counter currently in an upward direction producing pure metal nitrates at the bottom and nitrosyl chloride gas and/or water vapor at the top.

Process for manufacturing potassium nitrate fertilizer and other metal nitrates

A new process of preparing potassium sulfate fertilizer and other metal sulfates from the chlorides and other halides of these metals. The process utilizes the discovery that sulfur dioxide or trioxide, when introduced as a fluidizing medium into shallow beds of the halide salts at moderately elevated temperatures (1000&deg; F.-1150&deg; F.) in a counter current process results in the conversion of the metal halides into metal sulfates and the halide gas. The process is carried out in a series of true fluidized beds preferably but not necessarily arranged in a vertical configuration so that the solids flow downward due to the fluidized process and the sulfur dioxide or trioxide gases flow counter currently in an upward direction producing pure metal sulfates at the bottom and pure halide gas at the top.

Process for manufacturing potassium sulfate fertilizer and other metal sulfates

An electrical connector for connecting a daughter card to a back plane. The back plane has a male electrical connector which has a grouping of a plurality of parallel protruding electrical connecting pins. Mounted on these pins is a daughter card alignment module with this module having an internal cavity. One end of the internal cavity terminates in a guide post. A female electrical connector that is mounted at an edge of a daughter card is to be matingly located within the internal cavity with the edge of the daughter card to slidingly connect with slots formed within the module. The guide post is to connect with a recess formed in the daughter card.

A method of making an electrical connection with a cluster of separate electrical conductors wherein each of the electrical conductors are frayed at its end exposing a center wire and a ground shield. The cable is mounted within a cable housing. The center wire of each electrical conductor is attached to a separate female center conductor. The cable housing is interconnected with a connector body which includes the female center conductors. The connector body also includes ground contacts which connect with the ground shields to achieve a grounding electrical connection from the cable housing through the connector body.

The subject invention is an electrical connector for a pair of printed circuit boards which utilizes a vertical pin header connected to one printed circuit board and a right angle receptacle connected to the other printed circuit board. The printed circuit boards are to be connected together by the electrical connector in a right angle relationship with one printed circuit board being located edgewise to the other printed circuit board. A mass of separate positive circuit paths is obtained from one printed circuit board to the other with the distance between contacts which form these circuit paths to be approximately two millimeters. The vertical pin header and the right angle receptacle are fixedly mounted on their respective printed circuit boards without the use of solder. The right angle receptacle matingly connects with the vertical pin header in only one position.
