A foam-forming composition for producing a rigid polyurethane foam including: (a) at least one isocyanate component; and (b) at least one isocyanate-reactive composition including: (bi) a rigid polyol compound; and (bii) a flexible polyol compound; (c) a catalyst package including at least one latent gelling catalyst; and (d) at least one blowing agent.

Polyurethane rigid foam

The present disclosure provides for a metal chelated polyol liquid and/or a metal chelated polyether polyol liquid that can be used in an isocyanate-reactive composition and a reaction mixture for forming a polyurethane polymer. The metal chelated polyester polyol liquid is a reaction product of a chelating polyester polyol having a chelating moiety and a metal compound having a metal ion. The metal chelated polyether polyol liquid is a reaction product of a chelating polyether polyol having a chelating moiety and a metal compound having a metal ion. The chelating moiety of the chelating polyester polyol or the chelating polyether polyol chelates the metal ion to form the metal chelated polyester polyol liquid or the metal chelated polyether polyol liquid, respectively, having a mole ratio of the metal ion to the chelating moiety of 0.05:1 to 2:1.

Metal polyols for use in a polyurethane polymer

Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards hybrid foam formulations that include: an isocyanate-reactive composition, and a high-functionality crosslinker; an azo type radical initiator; and an isocyanate.

Hybrid foam formulations

Solvent-based adhesive composition are disclosed, the compositions comprising (A) a polyester-urethane resin, (B) an epoxy-terminated polyester compound, (C) a phosphoric acid, and (D) an aliphatic isocyanate curing agent. Methods for preparing a solvent-based adhesive composition, the methods comprising providing a polyester-urethane resin, providing an epoxy-terminated polyester compound, mixing the polyester-urethane resin, epoxy-terminated polyester compound, and phosphoric acid to form a resin mixture, diluting the resin mixture in a solvent to form a diluted resin mixture having an application solid content from 25 to 55 weight percent, based on the total weight of the diluted resin mixture, and curing the diluted resin mixture with an aliphatic isocyanate curing agent at a mix ratio (parts by weight resin mixture before dilution:parts by weight aliphatic isocyanate curing agent) of from 100:1 to 100:12. Laminates prepared comprising the solvent-based adhesives and according to the disclosed methods are also disclosed.

Solvent-based adhesive compositions

Recovery times and/or airflow of flexible polyurethane foam is increased by including certain tackifiers in the foam formulation. The tackifiers are formed into an emulsion that includes a polyether containing oxyethylene groups, a nonionic surfactant and certain fumed silica, carbon black or talc particles.

A protective jacket for cable includes (a) an exterior layer (1) free of a pest repellant, and (2) having external and internal facial surfaces; (b) an inner layer (1) having a shore d hardness of equal to or greater than (&#x2265;) 63, (2) including a pest repellant, and (3) having two facial surfaces; and (c) optionally, a tie layer in contact with the internal facial surface of the exterior layer and a facial surface of the inner layer.

Pest-resistant cable jacketing

Recovery times and/or airflow of flexible polyurethane foam is increased by including certain tackifiers in the foam formulation. The tackifiers are characterized in being incompatible with polyol or polyol mixture used to make the foam, having a viscosity of at least 5,000 centipoise at 25 #C and having a glass transition temperature of at most 20 #C. The tackifier is pre-blended with certain monols to form a lower-viscosity blend that is combined with one or more other polyols and a polyisocyanate to form a reaction mixture for producing a polyurethane foam.

An asymmetric hollow fiber (CMS) carbon molecular sieve is made by providing a dope solution comprised of a polvimide and a solvent, at a temperature greater than 250&#xb0; C. that is less than the storage modulus at a temperature of 250&#xb0; C., but no more than ten times less as measured using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis from 250&#xb0; C. to a temperature where the polyimide carbonizes. The polvimide is shaped into a hollow polvimide fiber, the solvent removed and the polyimide hollow fiber is heated to pyroiyze the polvimide and form the asymmetric hollow carbon molecular sieve. The asymmetric hollow fiber carbon molecular sieve has a wall that is defined by an inner surface and outer surface of said fiber and the wall has an inner porous support region extending from the inner surface to an outer raicroporous separation region that extends from the inner porous support region to the outer surface. Surprisingly, when the polyimide has the particular storage modulus characteristics, the method allows for the hollow fiber CMS to be made without any pre-treatmenis or additives to inhibit stractural collapse of the inner microporous region.

Amide combinations for cleaning and stripping of electronic parts

The process for synthesizing a poly(amic acid) polymer or a polyimide polymer is improved by using a solvent system consisting essentially of: (A) a first component consisting essentially of at least one of a sulfoxide, e.g., DMSO, and an alkyl phosphate, e.g., triethyl phosphate, and (B) optionally, a second component consisting essentially of at least one aprotic glycol ether, e.g., dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether.

Solvent systems for synthesis of poly(amic acid) and polyimide polymers

A wireless-communications-tower component being at least partially formed from a polymer composite. The polymer composite comprises a thermoplastic polymer and a filler, where the thermoplastic polymer is non-foamed. The polymer composite has a thermal conductivity of at least 0.5 watt per meter Kelvin ('W/m?K') measured at 25 C. Such wireless-communications-tower components include radio frequency ('RF') cavity filters, heat sinks, enclosures, and combinations thereof.

A composition comprising (A) at least one bisphenol-A polycarbonate resin, (B) at least one polypropylene, preferably a high crystallinity polypropylene, (C) at least one compatibilizer comprising an amine functionalized elastomeric polymer, (D) at least one organic phosphate flame retardant, preferably an organic phosphate that is liquid at room temperature, and, optionally, (E) one or more additives.
