A packaged electronic circuit using molded plastics, Thick Film, and Polymer Thick Film technology, and achieving shielding of the circuitry and components of the package. In this invention at least one of electronic devices in the package is supported in a molded pocket in the molded substrate, and circuit traces are added to the surface of the substrate and the electronic device, simultaneously creating the circuit traces and making the interconnections with the components at the same time. Shielding, which is optional, can easily be printed over the planar surface of the circuit traces and components.

A turf and garden tool implement useful in extracting weeds as well as severing the branches of small plants, bushes, small trees and the like; the tool includes an elongate rod member provided with a handle and a foot step, with the lower portion of the rod member being supplied a tool, generally referred to as a root trap tool, which is curved and hemi-conical in configuration, the leading edge being provided with serrations for suitable cutting purposes, and the upper edge of the tool being arcuate, upwardly angulated in a curvilinear manner, and is provided with a sharpened edge margin for effecting branch removal.

Turf and garden tool

A transportable load supporting structure such as a fish stringer having an essentially vertical carrier arm provided with attachment structure and a receiver arm, preferably having a blunted receiver end, and which is upwardly canted with respect to, crossing, and being partially twisted about said carrier arm at an openable junction area. A depending load-supporting receiver loop integrally connects said arms. A load such a fish is received by said receiver arm and descends under the force of gravity toward and opens said junction area, twisting about said junction area, to descend onto said receiver loop to be supported thereby at essentially the bottom thereof.

Load supporting device useful as a fish stringer

A weed extraction device for digging, cutting, twisting and pulling out weeds. The weed extraction device includes a rod member from which a handle is formed by bending the rod member. The handle is useful in pushing the device into the ground and to twist the device to twist out the weeds and by which the user can pull the weed from the ground without bending over. The rod member also includes a foot step which is formed by bending the rod member and is useful in pushing the device into ground to the depth of the tap root. Attached permanently to the rod member is the root trap which is a half-cone or hemiconically shaped cutting, coring and compacting portion of the device. The root trap is useful to dig into the ground, cut a cone shaped plug, compact the tap root and branch roots and twist out the weed including the tap root which prevents the root from ever growing again. The cutting teeth of the root trap on the leading edge of the root trap cut the branch roots and free the branch roots from attachment to the soil. The twisting action of the handle, rod member and the root trap results in the twisting free of the weed. The device is used to pull the weed out of the ground from the standing, upright position with little effort or back-strain.

Weed extraction device

A walkway on a rooftop comprises expanded metal planks supported by U-shaped support stands disposed transversely with respect to the length of the planks. The planks have alternating rows of ridges and valleys, both of which have transverse slits. The planks are connected to the support stands by T-shaped bolts whose crossbars are rounded. The shanks of the T-bolts pass through the slits in the valleys and the crossbars nestle within the valleys in rotatably slidable engagement with the metal.

Rooftop walkway

An adjustable, U-shaped support stand is disposed transversely between an expanded metal walkway and a roof so that the walkway may be made level although the roof slopes or may be inclined with respect to the roof. The support stand has a U-shaped base comprising a foot, a short leg and a long leg, each leg having spaced apart columns of holes. Connected to each leg are extensions having an oval slot and a hole spaced apart in accordance with the columns of holes on the legs. Alignment of the slots and holes in the extensions with the appropriate holes in the legs allows the extended legs to be of different heights with respect to each other and also allows one end of an extended leg to be higher than the opposite end. The expanded metal walkway may thus be levelled even though the roof slopes in both the lateral and longitudinal direction under the walkway.

Light steel joists may be spaced 24 inches o.c. under ceramic tile floors when floor bracing members are spaced at 16 inch o.c. intervals between the joists under such floors. Also made of light gauge steel, the bracing member is slotted to receive a return flange of a channel-shaped joist so that the tops of the joists and bracing members are co-planar.

A connector for the interconnection in generally perpendicular array of generally C-shaped elongate structural members having a pair of flanges integrally and perpendicularly connected with the web portion thereof in which said flanges each include a flange return edge which extends inwardly of the generally C-shaped channel, which connector, upon the assembly of said interconnection, provides strengthening of the webs of each said C-shaped structural member, and a floor assembly comprising said connector and said generally C-shaped elongate structural members.

A weight lifting device or apparatus specially adapted for use in water, such as pools, or at the beach, the weight of which may be varied to fit the needs of the user. Special filling and draining arrangement facilitates adding or removing water equally and simultaneously from both ends of the device to insure balance between the two ends.

A set of specially studded sole and heel plates which may readily be cemented to the existing soles and heels of an ordinary pair of shoes to convert the shoes for wear in golfing and other sports requiring good traction under conditions commonly encountered on the golf course or in connection with track sports.
