A coordinated lift system with user selectable RF channels coordinates the raising and lowering of a vehicle relative to a surface by using wireless communications. The lift system includes at least two lift mechanisms each having support frame, including a post, a carriage, an actuating device, and a control device with a channel selector switch. The carriage is slidably mounted on the post and is configured to support a portion of the vehicle. The actuating device is engaged between the support frame and the carriage and is activated to move the carriage relative to the post. The control device is interfaced with the actuating device and includes an RF transceiver to enable communication by RF signals with the other control device. The channel on which the transceiver operates is user selectable in the field. A rechargeable battery may provide power to the control device to allow for increased mobility of the lift system.

Coordinated lift system with user selectable RF channels

A lift system that coordinates the raising and lowering of a vehicle relative to a surface by using wireless communications is provided. The lift system includes at least two lift mechanisms each having a post, a carriage, an actuating device and a control device. The carriage is slidably coupled to the post and is adapted to support a portion of the vehicle. The actuating device is coupled with the carriage and is capable of moving the carriage relative to the post. The control device is coupled with the actuating device and is capable of communicating by wireless signals with the other control device. The control devices communicate by wireless signals to coordinate the movement of the carriages relative to the posts to raise or lower the vehicle. Further, a rechargeable battery may provide power to the control device to allow for increased mobility of the lift system.

Coordinated lift system

An apparatus for connecting first and second tubular bodies comprising first and second flange assemblies, each of which has a hub and an annular flange in surrounding relationship to the hub, the hubs and flanges having engageable, complementary frustoconical surfaces that, when the first and second flange assemblies are subjected to compressive loading by means of threaded studs and nuts, cooperate to urge seal faces on the hubs into metal-to-metal sealing contact.

Apparatus for connecting tubular bodies

A warning system for an aerial device which provides an alarm signal when a worker on an aerial work platform is exposed to an electrical hazard. The aerial device has an insulated boom which carries the work platform on its upper end. An electrostatic charge is introduced to all conductive components near the platform. The electrostatic charge is harmless to the worker and dissipates upon contact with an energized power line or grounded object. The absence of charge is then sensed by a warning device which provides an alarm signal.

Electrical hazard warning system for aerial devices

This pet sounding device contains all insulating major components so as to be non-conductive upon use or pet contact. The device has two attached rectangular plates connected on only one end. In between these plates is sandwiched a wireless transmitter that can be activated upon contact by the pet with one of the plate components. The transmitter is in wireless contact with a sound receiver which will emit a sound, chimes or voice upon being activated by the transmitter.

Animal actuating signaling device

A flow control valve such as a ball valve (12) for controlling fluid flow through a flow line (16). The control valve includes a flow chamber (18), an upstream passage (19), a downstream passage (20), a cylindrical body (24), a retainer (26) sealingly engaging the outer annular surface of the flow line and secured to the valve body by a pair of flanges (28), a flow control ball (32) rotatably disposed within the flow chamber for controlling fluid flow through the passages, an operating member (42) for rotating the ball between open and closed positions and means (70)for equalizing the pressure in the valve chamber. The ball includes a centrally bored flow passageway (36) for communicating fluid through the passages and is rotatably supported within the chamber by an annular upstream seat carrier (48) and an annular downstream seat carrier (50). Each seat carrier includes a ball seat (52) positioned within an annular recess (54) provided on the inwardly facing surface (55) of the seat carrier and an O-ring (56) positioned within an annular recess (58) provided on an axially facing surface (59) of the seat carrier. Each seat 52 includes an inwardly facing surface (60)that abuts the outer surface of the ball and an axially facing surface (62) that abuts an axial surface (64) of the seat recess. The pressure equalizing means includes a passage (72) extending radially inwardly within seat carrier (48) and communicates with an annular groove (73) cut in axial recess (58) and with chamber (18) by an outlet (76) in a recessed portion (82) on an outwardly facing surface (80) of seat carrier (48). Pressure is equalized when upstream pressure is introduced into chamber (18) inside O-ring (56), through groove (73) and through passage (72). The O-ring in seat carrier (50) seals against ball (32).

Pressure equalized flow control valve

An inertial trip valve actuated by vibration to close gas lines and the like in the event of earthquake for safety. Said valve is provided with an external reset. Said reset cannot be used to defeat the operation of the device by tying the reset handle because the reset action momentarily closes the valve. The valve comprises an inlet flapper valve and an outlet shear valve. Said flapper valve is closed under a spring load when an inertial trigger is tripped. Said flapper valve may be reset by an external handle which closes a shear valve during the reset operation thus preventing the defeat of the trigger operation.
