A cable connector includes a cable clamp having a cable end and a mating end. The cable clamp has an upper housing and a lower housing joined to the upper housing. An aperture is formed in at least one of the upper housing or the lower housing. The upper housing and the lower housing are moveable between a pre-assembled position and an assembled position. An insert is provided having a wire end and a mating end. The insert has a tab configured to engage the aperture to secure the insert within the mating end of the cable clamp in the pre-assembled position. The upper housing and the lower housing are moveable to the assembled position to retain the insert within the mating end of the cable clamp and a cable within the cable end of the cable clamp.

A connector assembly includes a housing, a grommet, and a cable organizer. The housing includes an interior chamber. The grommet is disposed in the interior chamber of the housing and extends between a forward end and an opposite exit end. The grommet includes openings extending through the grommet with insulated conductors extending through the openings and joined with contacts such that the contacts project from the forward end. The cable organizer is disposed proximate to the grommet and includes channels extending through the cable organizer with the cables extending through the channels. The cable organizer limits bending by the cables at the exit end of the grommet.

Cable organizer for a connector assembly

An electrode assembly for a sensor catheter tip includes a first electrode and a second electrode each having a central axis. The two electrodes are axially aligned and spaced apart along the axis. Each of the first and second electrodes comprises a contact aperture spaced from the center axis, and a contact element positioned within each of the contact apertures. The center axis of each of the first and second electrodes is substantially aligned, and the contact elements corresponding to each of the first and second electrodes are offset, thereby providing staggered contact points for each respective electrode.

Catheter tip electrode assembly and method for fabricating same

An electrical connector includes a plurality of contacts, and an outer shell having a cavity formed therein. The cavity extends between a loading end and a mating end of the outer shell, and the mating end is configured to join with a mating connector. A front dielectric member includes a base portion and an appendage extending from a rear end of the base portion. The base portion and the appendage have contact passages receiving the contacts. A rear dielectric member includes a hollow interior and contact passages extending between front and rear ends of the rear dielectric member and defining the hollow interior. The front end of the rear dielectric member contacts the rear end of the front dielectric member such that the appendage is positioned within the hollow interior of the rear dielectric member. The contact passages of the appendage and the rear dielectric member cooperate to surround the contacts.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector system is adapted for placement into a recessed space defining a raceway formed in a floor of an aircraft having an open region. The electrical connector system includes a first connector and a second connector connectable along a first axis. A frame is provided. The first connector is selectably movable in the frame along the first axis in response to movement of a frame portion, with the second connector being constrained by the frame to resist movement along the first axis. Movement of the frame portion permits selective engagement and disengagement between the first and second connectors, the frame portion being accessible from the open region.

Confined envelope connector system

A stackable modular connector assembly, is provided. The stackable modular connector assembly includes a track having a pair of juxtaposed rails each defining an elongate channel formed therein. Desirably, the channels are oriented toward one another. The stackable modular connector assembly further includes a plurality of connector shells operatively engageable with the track. Desirably, each connector shell extends between the opposed channels of the pair of rails and is slidably stackable within the channels of the track.

An electrical contact assembly includes a contact, a front shell member, and a rear shell member. The front shell member has a core with a front contact passage therethrough to receive the contact. The core is formed with a shroud extending from a front end of the front shell member, and the shroud surrounds and defines a cavity. The front shell member is formed of an integral single piece of non-conductive material. The rear shell member has a core with a rear contact passage therethrough to receive the contact. The rear shell member is coupled to the front shell member such that the front and rear contact passages are substantially aligned along a contact passage axis. The rear shell member is formed of an integral single piece of non-conductive material.

Electrical contact assembly

A seal for an electrical connector in a connector block having a connector channel with a keyway is provided. The seal includes a tubular body that defines a longitudinal axis therethrough. The body includes a forward portion defining a forward end and a rearward portion defining a rearward end. The body is configured to be received in a connector channel in the connector block. A key portion extends longitudinally along an outer surface of the body. The key portion is configured to be received in the keyway in the connector channel. The body and the key portion seal the connector channel in the connector block when the connector is loaded into the connector block.

An electrical connector includes an outer shell having a cavity formed therein and a front dielectric member having a base portion and an insulating sleeve extending from the base portion. The base portion has contact passages formed therein that extend between front and rear ends of the base portion, wherein the contact passages are configured to receive contacts. The electrical connector also includes a rear dielectric member having open sided contact passages extending between front and rear ends of the rear dielectric member. The contact passages are configured to receive the contacts such that at least a portion of the contacts are exposed laterally through open sides of the contact passages. The front end of the rear dielectric member is inserted at least partially into the insulating sleeve.

An electrical connector assembly includes a receptacle, a first ground plane partitioning the receptacle, a plug configured to mate with the receptacle, and a second ground plane partitioning the plug. Each of the first and second ground planes are in mechanical and electrical contact with one another when the plug is mated to the receptacle.

An electrical connector is provided for connection to a high speed cable, such as of quad cable construction. The connector includes a tubular outer shell having a cavity formed therethrough that extends between loading and mating ends of the shell. A unitary dielectric member is inserted into the cavity and provided with a plurality of contact passages formed therethrough, each of which receives a rear loaded contact. The dielectric member includes a flared section having collets about the perimeter of the dielectric material and extending along a portion of the length of the dielectric material. The collets permit the flared section to collapse onto the contact passages to positively and firmly grip the contacts inserted within the contact passages. The unitary dielectric member affords an easily manufactured connector that maintains the contacts and wires within a predefined geometry with respect to the axis of the connector and at a predefined position along the length of the connector.
