A bed pad wedge system for inhibiting a person from falling out of bed. The system includes a fitted mattress pad fastened to a mattress. Each lateral edge of the fitted pad has pockets located therein that contain foam rubber wedges having the shape of an obtuse triangle. The pockets are installed on an underside of the fitted pad and are facing an outer edge of the mattress. The triangular foam rubber wedges are each encased in a slippery material to aid in installing the wedges in the pockets. A third wedge or triangle may be installed in the middle of a mattress between the outer wedges that are located at each edge of the mattress. The wedge system may be covered by standard sheets and bedding.

A jig-type fishing lure which includes a jig head having a portion of a hook shank embedded therein. The hook extends rearwardly from the jig head through a curved bight portion to a barb, and the lure further includes a bore or passageway extending through the jig head parallel to the hook shank in the upper portion of the jig head. A flexible retrieving line is extended through the bore so that one end of this line can be secured around the shank of the hook immediately rearwardly from the jig head. The line emerges from the bore through the jig head at its forward end. Deflecting bristles extend from one side of the jig head toward the barb of the hook and function to enable the lure to more effectively traverse weeds and other obstructions without fouling.

Fishing lure

A fishing lure which includes a hard body having a light reflective metallic coating adjacent the body, and having a monolayer of small glass spheres overlying the metallic coating. The glass spheres are preferably solid and have a diametric size in the range of from about 40 microns to about 75 microns. The glass spheres are embedded in a coating of clear lacquer or polyurethane.

Artificial fish bait

A fishing lure which includes a hollow body generally resembling a natural bait species and having a diving plane at the forward end, and a tail at the rear end thereof. The lure further includes an upper body half and a lower body half. The upper body half joins the lower body half in a longitudinal medial plane which extends rearwardly from the diving plane to the tail of the lure. A graphite pull section is affixed to the diving plane so that a projecting blade portion of the graphite pull section extends upwardly from the upper side of the diving plane, and carries a hole for attachment of a fishing line. The lower body half has a pair of laterally spaced, longitudinally extending chines formed thereon to improve the hydrodynamic properties of the lure as it is retrieved.

An artificial structure for attracting fish, which structure includes a ballast and anchoring subassembly having an elongated trunk detachably and pivotally connected thereto and extending in a generally vertical direction therefrom. A plurality of elongated leaf fronds are each centrally engaged with the trunk at longitudinally spaced intervals along the trunk.
