A holster for carrying a handgun of the type having a front section including a muzzle, a middle section including a trigger guard, and a back section including a grip, includes a holster upper section with walls configured to substantially enclose the middle section of a handgun when the handgun is carried in the holster. The holster also includes a generally open holster web portion that extends forward from the holster upper section and that defines a window through which is visible a substantial portion of the front section of a handgun when the handgun is carried in the holster.

A firearm magazine base pad comprises a base pad body adapted to be removably secured to a lower end of a magazine body, the base pad body including a front portion, a rear portion, a pair of opposed side portions, and a lower portion. The lower portion of the base pad body, when viewed in a cross-sectional plane parallel to and medially of the opposed side portions and in a cross-sectional plane perpendicular to the opposed side portions and medially of the front and rear portions, is convex. The front portion of the base pad body, when viewed in a cross-sectional plane parallel to and medially of the opposed side portions, is concave.

Magazine base pad

A holster, for a pistol that has a top portion and that has a bottom portion including a trigger guard, includes a holster body having a top portion and a bottom portion fixed in position relative to the top portion. The holster body defines a chamber in the holster body for receiving a portion of the pistol. The holster body is made of two holster body pieces that are joined together to form the holster body defining the chamber. The holster also includes a plurality of different pistol retention devices each of which is configured to be mounted inside the chamber of the holster body between the at least two holster body pieces. Each one of the plurality of devices has a mounting portion for securing the device in the chamber of the holster body and having a trigger guard engagement portion for releasably engaging the trigger guard of the pistol. The mounting portions of the plurality of devices are substantially identical to each other whereby any selected one of the plurality of devices can be similarly mounted in a working position inside the chamber of the holster body. The trigger guard engagement portions of the plurality of devices are substantially different from each other thereby to properly releasably engage different pistols having different trigger guards. As a result, the one holster body can accommodate and retain a number of different pistols having different sizes and configurations by mounting an appropriate pistol retention device that is configured for that pistol.

A holster for a handgun having a trigger guard includes a holster body defining a chamber for receiving a portion of the handgun. The holster body has an entranceway enabling insertion of the gun into the holster and removal of the handgun from the holster chamber. The holster includes a blocking device separate from the holster body that helps to block movement of the handgun trigger guard relative to the holster body when the handgun is in the chamber. The blocking device is supported on the holster body for movement relative to the holster body between an open position and a blocking position. The blocking device has a tail portion that projects from the bottom wall in a direction away from the top wall when the blocking member is in the open position. The blocking device moves from the open position to the blocking position in response to insertion of a handgun through the entranceway into the chamber. The blocking device tail portion moves in a direction toward the holster top wall during movement of the blocking device from the open position to the blocking position.

Articulated trigger guard blocking device

A two piece holster support for supporting a handgun holster on a belt includes a first piece that is configured to clamp onto the belt at a clamp location when the belt is threaded through the first piece in a belt direction and pulled tight, thereby to support the first piece on the belt. A second piece is supported on the first piece for sliding movement relative to the first piece in the belt direction between a plurality of positions at varying distances from the clamp location. The second piece has a loop configuration defining a belt passage for engaging the belt at a location spaced apart form the base and thereby supporting the second piece on the belt. The second piece is movable on the first piece in the belt direction whereby the belt passage on the movable piece can be set at a variable distance from the clamp location of the base.

Belt mount for holster

A holster support assembly for use by a user wearing a belt is adjustable for both drop and cant. The assembly includes a belt support that engages and is supported by the user's belt, the belt support defining a plurality of drop positions spaced apart along the track to enable the user to set the drop position of the holster. The assembly also includes a holster mount supported on the belt support for sliding movement relative to the belt support, the holster mount configured for supporting a holster. The holster mount has a first condition in which the holster mount is engaged with the belt support thereby blocking rotation of the holster mount relative to the belt support, and is selectively movable into a second condition in which the holster mount is rotatable relative to the belt support about an axis to enable the user to set the cant position of the holster relative to the belt support.

A holster support assembly for use by a user wearing a belt may be adjustable for both drop and cant. The assembly includes a belt support that engages and is supported by the user's belt, the belt support defining a plurality of drop positions spaced apart along the track to enable the user to set the drop position of the holster. The assembly also includes a holster mount supported on the belt support for sliding movement relative to the belt support, the holster mount configured for supporting a holster. The holster mount has a first condition in which the holster mount is engaged with the belt support thereby blocking rotation of the holster mount relative to the belt support, and is selectively movable into a second condition in which the holster mount is rotatable relative to the belt support about an axis to enable the user to set the cant position of the holster relative to the belt support. The assembly may include a pull member for helping the user to move the holster mount relative to the belt support, and blocking insert for blocking movement of the holster support into the second condition.

A quick disconnect coupling for releasably connecting first and second garment parts includes a tubular outer coupling part having a central opening and a garment portion that is configured to be connected with the first garment part. An inner coupling part has a garment portion that is configured to be connected with the second garment part. The inner coupling part is selectively movable into and out of the central opening of the outer coupling part to releasably connect the first and second garment parts. The coupling further includes a release pin that is movable along a pin passage in the inner coupling part to change the configuration of the inner coupling part from a locking configuration in which the inner coupling part is locked to the outer coupling part, to an unlocked configuration in which the inner coupling part can be pulled out of the central opening of the outer coupling part thereby to disconnect the coupling.

Handgun holster

Holster carrying a firearm with an optical sight mounted thereon, holster having an open top, inner and outer sidewalls with parallel extension portions, a top wall portion affixed to the extension. A protector includes a U-shaped body with an upper wall, spaced depending side walls, a rear wall and a unitary forward spring tab. The side walls are respectively pivotally connected to the extension portions and movable between closed and open positions. When closed, all the protector walls, the extension portions and the top wall portion substantially enclose a rear part of the sight, including the lens thereof, to inhibit debris from entering. The polymeric tab engages the top wall portion and biases the protector closed which is overcome automatically by forcible withdrawal of the firearm.

A holster blank and holster for a handgun formed from a unitary molded body portion having two side holster portions joined to opposite edges of an elongate narrow spine intermediate portion by parallel living hinges. The side holster portions have outer edges brought together by pivoting the side holster portions towards each other via the living hinges so as to form the holster. The body portion includes interfacing elongate male and female locking portions which engage and lock the outer edges together. A method of producing the holster includes molding the body portion and pivoting the sides via the living hinges 90 degrees and providing a lock to interconnect the side portions adjacent the trigger guard of a handgun.

Holster and method of making holsters

Magazine block device for firearm dry fire practice which allows a user to practice proper firearm handling skills without expending ammunition, including recocking and actuating the firearm slide without pressing the slide lock release. In an aspect, a magazine block device is provided having a bullet-shaped body, two upper ridges forming a longitudinal channel through which the firearm breach face loading tab may pass without dislodging the magazine block device, and an offset lower ridge. The lower ridge is configured to evenly force a magazine follower down a sufficient distance to prevent actuation of the firearm slide lock. This allows dry fire practice of pulling the slide. Several other features include ridges to assist a user to remove and load the block device in and out of a magazine, as well as a pocket to mechanically remove same.
