A system and method may monitor the biometric data of an operator in real time or near real time. Low cost electronic devices may monitor operator vital signs and biometric data allowing the system to determine stress levels, hydration levels, possible illness, body or blood chemical levels, incapacitation risks, and other biometric parameters of the operator, and proactively notify the operator, others aboard the vehicle, the vehicle control systems, or ground control to take responsive action. Industrial electronics may enable the system to monitor ambient workspace temperature, pressure, oxygen levels, and other environmental parameters, offering the system an additional second source of information to detect and address factors affecting the capacity of the operator. The system may further compare biometric and ambient parameters to archived operator, ambient, location, route, or vehicle performance data to determine and respond to long-term data patterns.

Crew biometrics and aircraft data analysis with real-time and proactive actions

A system and method are provided for integrating voice communication systems with voice recognition devices or units and myriad other data sources to provide a harmonization between intended aircraft operations and actual aircraft operations, including logical components to provide a mechanism to flag certain alert communications that signal the initiation of particular response scenarios based on detected terms and track initiation of pre-planned processes to address specific events that are signaled through the use of the detected terms. Information from myriad data sources is collected and integrated to provide an indication of intended operations for an aircraft. A data comparison device compares the indicated real-time intended operations of the aircraft with actual monitored operations of the aircraft to discern unacceptable deviations. Data sources include operator-generated data transmissions, voice transcriptions, automated voice recognized information, measurable operations of the aircraft, and prescribed operating guidance, directives and parameters for the aircraft.

Management system and methods for implementing aircraft intentions harmonization

A system and method are provided for monitoring, collecting and aggregating position information from multiple independent data sources to localize a position of an aircraft operating worldwide. The localized position information is provided to one or more end-users or stakeholders in a format for direct integration into one or more mapping and/or situational awareness display applications. Information is collected from a plurality of monitored data sources. Weighted values are applied to certain of the information collected from the plurality of data sources according to known or predictable/determinable static and/or dynamic accuracy errors and latencies of the information provided. A detailed analytic algorithm is applied to provide a probabilistic analysis that results in a resolution of a real-time, or near real-time, aircraft location, as well as an ability to accurately predict an aircraft location along a track at some future time.

Multi-media analysis for implementing advanced flight following and generating of projected tracks

A system and method are provided for implementing improved access to inter-company resources among related companies in a same industry, including a mechanism where airline aircrew members and other employees, including pilots, cabin flight crew and others can be validated as to eligibility to participate in cabin access programs, using automation and applying various rules and features. The disclosed schemes expand upon the currently-fielded CASS service to cover two additional groups of currently-unserved customer populations within the airline industry thereby availing those additional groups of benefits equivalent to those provided to pilots and cockpit aircrew by the CASS service. The two groups include: (1) airlines and other air carriers, including regional air carriers and business aviation entities and organizations, as well as other currently non-participating Twelve-Five Standard Security Program (TFSSP) entities and organizations; and (2) other airline employees including non-pilot cabin crew members, dispatchers and other ground-based airline employees.

Systems and methods for implementing advanced cooperation between multiple related companies for employee access to inter-company resources

A system and method are provided for providing communications via security and distributed access control systems that dynamically alter security protocols and security-associated mailing lists based on sender, receiver and/or message content. Exemplary embodiments provide individual stakeholders with an ability to transmit information to select groups or sub-groups, where appropriate, to provide broadcast communications of information that may be specifically applicable to members of those groups or sub-groups. The groups and/or sub-groups may be ad hoc or according to some predetermined scheme (including predetermined databases of lists designated by one or more of the stakeholders). In embodiments, all coordination of individual messaging will reside in, or be cleared through, a central coordination facility. Security and access control may be included in the databases to be automatically associated with the information provided to the receiving nodes.

Systems and methods for implementing targeted network communication and automation capabilities in a distributed access control system

A system and method are provided for implementing system controlled randomization and related functioning in screening procedures when granting individuals entry into certain limited access areas. The disclosed schemes supplement personnel access systems with additional user aware features to implement standard objective randomization processes for the selection, identification and tracking of individuals for separate levels of screening. The randomization scheme is tracked to collect information regarding the selection of individuals from the group of all individuals screened at a particular screening checkpoint to verifiably prove objective randomness in the implementation of the randomization scheme. An additional verifiable capability is provided to modify the randomization scheme locally, or from a centralized location, to adapt to changing situations while maintaining the objectivity in the scheme. These modifications can be individually directed by a system administrator, or can be automated to make them one or more of time- or event-driven.

Managing personnel access employing a distributed access control system with security enhancements for improved user awareness to aid in decision making

A system and method are provided for generating and/or refining an active frequency table (AFT) for High Frequency Data Link (HFDL) communications, particularly those communications managed by a network of HFDL ground stations. Automated analysis is applied to forecast atmospheric conditions to generate an AFT for the HFDL communication network for one or more particular time windows. Historical analysis of measured atmospheric conditions is consulted to provide an approximation of an AFT. The use of the historical data includes determining, in a past time frame, when an atmospheric conditions most closely compares to the measured or forecast conditions. Reference is then be made to stored information regarding one or more AFTs that were effectively employed in the past time frame under the comparable conditions to generate an appropriate AFT according to the measured or forecast conditions.

Systems and methods for active frequency table (AFT) generation

A system and method to detect changes in composite structures using RF signal pattern data interpretation. An RF signal is transmitted from a composite material manufactured structure and a plurality of sensors are employed to measure the RF signal. The measured RF signal is compared to a stored baseline RF signal for the particular structure. Deviations in the measured RF pattern for the structure, or for a structurally-similar composite structure, are automatically analyzed to detect non-visually-detectable defects or other changes in the composite structure. A baseline RF signature is developed for a structure by transmitting a reference RF signal from the composite structure. RF signals are detected by a variety of methods, and the detected signals are compiled and translated into reference and/or test RF signal patterns for the structure.
