A hose or cable reel winder provides a handle for winding hose or cable onto a stationary reel and facilitates an orderly winding onto the reel. A guide is attached to an arm and the arm is free to rotate with respect to the stationary reel. The handle rotates in the guide allowing a user to wind hose or cable onto the stationary reel, and slides into and out of the guide to facilitate the orderly winding of the hose or cable onto the reel. The stationary reel does not require couplings between fixed source hoses or cables and a rotating reel, and allows releasing and collecting pairs or groups of hoses or cables.

A wiper blade is presented having a wiper strip, a force distribution structure having opposite ends, the wiper strip connected to the force distribution structure, and a cover, wherein the cover is made from a hydrophobic material, a material exhibiting hydrophobic properties, or a material having a water contact angle that is greater than 90 degrees.

A system and method for tracking a user history, for presentation thereof within a browser display. An executable software construct operates at a client machine to trap object references, which are then transmitted to a server. The server analyzes the object references and organizes them into a display structure. The display structure is then displayed within the browser, including hyperlinks to allow the user to select a prior system state to which he seeks to return. Preferably, the software construct also manages objects associated with the object reference, for example cookies associated with URLs, in order to assure full definition of the desired state. The display structure may also be provided to browsers distinct from the originating browser.

Personalized multi-service computer environment

An upper section having a platform for supporting a camera, a lower section having an anchor for mounting into the ground, and an adjustment mechanism for vertically and rotationally adjusting the upper section to selectively aim the camera. In an exemplary embodiment, the adjustment mechanism includes an upper shaft of the upper section and a lower shaft of the lower section being telescopically arranged. For compact storage, the lower section can be inverted and the lower shaft inserted into the upper shaft through an opening in the platform.

A rapid fire gas powered projectile gun is comprised of a projectile holder; a barrel connected to the projectile holder having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the projectile holder but at least as large as the diameter of a projectile to be fired, so the projectile to be fired stops before the barrel because of its smaller diameter but is able to pass out of the barrel when pressure is applied to the projectiles; a pressurization device connected to the projectile holder with the pressurization device fluidically connected to the projectile holder; a device for activating the pressurization device; a device for biasing located within the projectile holder and forcing any projectile in the projectile holder to be moved toward the barrel; and a trigger connected to the pressurization device in such a way that when the trigger is pulled pressure passes into the projectile holder forcing the projectiles out of the barrel.

Rapid fire gas powered projectile gun

A re-registering feeder machine which is also an improvement to a separating machine accepts sheets of paperboard or other material with various angles of skew, registers them and feeds them to a following machine. A conveyor deck moves the sheet in a first direction where at the last roll the sheet is held down by a plurality of balls in cooperative rotation with the last roll and its leading edge meets a side register guide having a plurality of pairs of tapered drive rolls to grip the sheet along the margin and move the sheet in a second direction at right angles to the first direction after the sheet has been registered. Coatings on the conveyor rolls except for the last roll which has the cooperatively rotating balls in contact therewith provide a proper friction between the rolls and the sheet allowing the sheet to turn in either direction until the angle between its leading edge and the side register guide is zero. The side register guide then operates in coordination with a pair of stops and a force transducer to provide a final registration to a preselected sheet leading edge and corner thereof.

Re-registering feeder and method of registering

Apparatus and method for opening an envelope upon three sides. The apparatus employs a circular rotating wheel which supports a plurality of complementary pairs of paddles which are designed to open at predetermined times to receive an envelope and close upon the envelope in a protective manner. The envelope is first received in the paddles with the leading edge thereof slightly exposed. As the paddles progress in their circular motion, the leading edge is engaged by means which weaken the edge. Thereafter, the paddles are opened and a conveyor below the paddles repositions the envelope between the paddles so as the trailing and bottom edges thereof are slightly exposed. As the paddles progress, the trailing and bottom edges are likewise weakened after which the envelope is discharged to an opening means. Opening means are provided which receive the envelope and convey the envelope by means of a belt over idler pulleys which cause parallel shearing forces to the sides of the envelope by reverse flexing of the envelope to crack the weakened edges. The envelope is then passed between a belt and a roller through which a vacuum is induced to grip the opposite panels of the envelope and exert a separating force perpendicular to the panels to complete opening of the envelope and expose the contents thereof.

Envelope opening apparatus and method

The separator machine disclosed includes a base and sheet feed means on the base. The sheet feed means includes a conveyor section having a plurality of parallel driven transverse feed shafts rotationally mounted on opposite ends of said shafts to advance the sheets along a guide to a nip roll and a plurality of cooperating idler rolls. The nip roll then drives the sheets to forwarding rolls located on either side of the machine. The forwarding rolls are controlled to have the same peripheral speed as the nip roll and to engage the sheets only along the opposite margins of the sheet parallel to the direction of travel of the sheets. The forwarding rolls move the sheets in register between a pair of opposing dies which move transversely of the sheet feed direction into mutual contact with the sheet at a progression of locations across the sheet to complete separation of the cards from the scrap. The relative transverse motion of the dies is accomplished by links of different lengths driving an upper die platen having a male die mounted thereon toward a lower female die by simultaneous rotation of an end of each of said links in an arc in one direction on one stroke and in the opposite direction in the next stroke. The male die includes a plurality of spaced projecting members for engaging portions of said sheet in the area of said tangs. The female die has a plurality of cutout portions in substantially the same arrangement and the same shape as the die cut cards of a series of sheets to be separated into cards and scrap such that the relative movement of the male and female dies into mutual contact with the sheet forces the cards progressively across the sheet from the scrap portion of the sheet and through their respective cutout portion in the female die to a sensing and automatically lowering elevator. The scrap is then driven from between the dies by the forwarding rolls engaging its opposite margins. A preliminary set of cooperating male and female dies can be provided between the conveyor section and the card and scrap separating dies to punch out internal cutouts in the cards, if desired.
