A contact electrode assembly for delivering at least one therapeutic agent into ocular tissue of a subject includes a flexible dielectric layer, a first electrode portion, and a second electrode portion. The flexible dielectric includes oppositely disposed first and second surfaces. The first electrode portion is disposed on the first surface of the dielectric layer. The second electrode portion is disposed on a portion of the second surface of the dielectric layer. The second electrode portion includes an interdigitated electrode having a first comb-shaped portion defining a first plurality of fingers and a second comb-shaped portion defining a second plurality of fingers. Each of the first electrode portion, the first comb-shaped portion, and the second comb-shaped portion is electrically connectable to a signal source.

A composite gasket for sealing and EMI shielding is provided. The gasket has a resilient conductive mesh sheet embedded with an elastomer gel layer. The conductive mesh is corrugated to provide a series of repeating waveforms, providing the gasket with a lower deflection force, better corrosion resistance, and a higher EMI shielding capability. A second elastomer can be used around the edge portions of the gasket for improved abrasion resistance and increased tensile strength. A fiberglass sheet can be incorporated in the mesh for added reinforcement and support. The gaskets of the invention can be used on external aircraft components, such as external aircraft antenna mounts.

A composite gasket for sealing, lightning strike protection and EMI shielding is provided. The gasket has a resilient conductive mesh sheet embedded with an elastomer gel layer. The conductive mesh is corrugated to provide a series of repeating waveforms, providing the gasket with a lower deflection force, better corrosion resistance, protection against lightning strikes and a higher EMI shielding capability. Encapsulated expanded crimped metal mesh for sealing, EMI shielding and lightning strike applications

An EMI shielding gasket having enhanced corrosion protection and force deflection is provided. The gasket has a body formed from an electrically conductive material with outwardly extending projections from one or both surface portions thereof. A non-conductive polymer gel is applied to the spaces between the projections for protection against corrosion. The gasket is particularly adapted for use in external aluminum aircraft surfaces which are exposed to harsh environmental conditions.

Low force deflection and corrosion resistant EMI gasket

An EMI shield having at least one compartment for enclosing circuitry of an electronic device. The shield includes a first member formed of a thin metal sheet, and a second member formed of an electrically-conductive composite material comprising an admixture of a plastic or other polymeric component and an electrically-conductive particulate filler component. The second member is integrally joined to the first member, and has at least one wall which extends from the first member and which together with the first member defines at least a portion of the compartment.

Combination metal and plastic EMI shield

An EMI shield having at least one compartment for enclosing circuitry of an electronic device. The shield includes a first member formed of a first material such as a thin metal sheet or screen, or a metal-plated fabric or other electrically-conductive mesh, and a second member formed of a second material different than the first material which second material is an admixture of a plastic or other polymeric component and an electrically-conductive particulate filler component. The second member is integrally joined to the first member, and has at least one wall which extends from the first member and which together with the first member defines at least a portion of the compartment.

Composite EMI shield

Heat dissipation and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding for an electronic device having an enclosure. An interior surface of the enclosure is covered with a conformal metallic layer which, as disposed in thermal adjacency with one or more heat-generating electronic components or other sources contained within the enclosure, may provide both thermal dissipation and EMI shielding for the device. The layer may be sprayed onto the interior surface in a molten state and solidified to form a self-adherent coating.

Thermal-sprayed metallic conformal coatings used as heat spreaders

An electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding gasket. The gasket is formed as having a resilient core member of an indefinite length which is sheathed in an electrically conductive fiber mesh member. A thermoplastic member is incorporated within the fiber mesh member for consolidating at least a portion of the fiber mesh member. The consolidation is effective to maintain the integrity of the fiber mesh member at an end of the gasket when the gasket is terminated to a determinable length.

EMI shielding gasket having a consolidated conductive sheathing

Method of terminating at least one end of an EMI shielding gasket having an indefinite length. A resilient core member of an indefinite length is sheathed within an electrically conductive fiber mesh member. A thermoplastic member is incorporated within the conductive fiber mesh member, and then is heated to effect its melting which, in turn, effects the consolidation of at least a portion of the fiber mesh member. The gasket so formed then is terminated to a determinable length having an end through a consolidated portion of the fiber mesh member. The consolidated portion is effective to maintain the integrity of the fiber mesh member at the terminated end.
