A portable pet warmer may include an outer cylinder and front and rear covers. An inner cylinder may be removably positioned within the outer cylinder. The inner cylinder remains spaced from the outer cylinder while the inner cylinder is positioned within the outer cylinder. A thermostat and a heating element may be located within the apparatus and adapted to be coupled to an external 115 volt alternating current power supply source. A mounting plate and retainer springs are used to hold the thermostat at a secure position during use while permitting easy access to the thermostat during maintenance. An internal power supply source providing a 12 volt direct current to the thermostat may further be electrically coupled to the circuit breaker.

Portable pet warmer and associated method

A cutting workstation which includes a miter gauge. The miter gauge consists of a clamping means whereby the gauge may be fixed to any location upon the length of cutting station work surface. The miter gauge arm is hinged to clamping means by a plate which may be rotated and then fixed at any angle. The arm is extendable and at its distal end exhibits a T shaped plate and fence which itself may be rotated to any angle. The ability to fix the miter gauge at any position along the cutting station work surface along with two means of adjusting angles allows the fence to guide the work piece at virtually any angle.

A cutting workstation which includes a cutter mounted on an arm type configuration. The arm configuration is slidably moveable relative to a divided work piece support table, the cutter moveable between the divided table. The cutter arm contains a cutter drive assembly exhibiting clutch plates mounted on shafts supported by bearings and driven by gears which in turn are driven by a motor. A gear case with shafts, bearings and internal gears allow the direction of the drive train to be altered.

Cutting workstation

A cutting workstation which includes a cutter mounted on an arm type configuration. The arm configuration is slidably moveable relative to a divided work piece support table, the cutter moveable there between. Further, the cutter is capable of elevating the arm either above or below the worktable. Not only is the arm capable of being lengthened and shortened, but also it is also of capable of rotation producing a variety of miter cuts. The arm is also capable of rotating to a vertical axis to produce a chop cut motion. The bifurcated table or work piece support is capable of being rotated through a number of degrees relative to the cutter also producing mitered or angled cuts. The bifurcated worktable is also capable of being elevated above or below or at the level of the cutter. The cutter, if in the form of a circular cutter blade, is preferably provided with the conventional pivotal spring-loaded blade guard. If the cutter is in the form of a router or shaper bit, it should be preferably provided with a pivotal spring-loaded or fixed dent guard. An embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the drawings.

Method and apparatus for reprogramming a programmable product, such as, a printer, a wireless communication device, or a portable computer. A software programmable product that includes memory for storing product operation information and a method for configuring the software programmable products is provided. Software is configurable by data stored on an RFID tag. Data stored on the RFID is transferred reprogramming circuitry of the production which sets the configurable operating parameters. This configures the products features and options as desired by the specific user without requiring an external programming device or destructive entering into the packages or internals of the product. An RFID located in an electronic product, within or upon its packaging, or on an accessory may be loaded with reprogramming data such as media configuration data or usage data. The RFID reader may be located on a kiosk.

An apertured film for use as a topsheet in absorbent products wherein the film is apertured and includes a plurality of micro-holes and a plurality of large-sized holes. A method of forming the film is disclosed, as well as an absorbent product incorporating the apertured film as a topsheet.

Apertured films and absorbent products incorporating aperture films

A method of forming an apertured support member is accomplished by directing a laser beam at a workpiece, focusing the laser beam at the top surface of the workpiece, moving the laser beam in a series of raster scans over the surface of the workpiece. During each scan, the laser is turned on at predetermined intervals to drill one or more discrete portions of each of the apertures to form apertures surrounded by a plateau on the resulting support member.

A topographical support member and a method of forming a topographical support member for use in producing nonwoven fabrics with raised portions, especially intaglio and slub type portions. The topographical support member includes a body having a top surface including a first micro-sized topographical pattern and a pattern of apertures extending through the body. At least one macro-sized region recessed below the top surface is provided. The micro-sized pattern produces a background portion of the fabric and the macro-sized recessed regions produce the raised portions of the fabric. Multiple levels may be provided in the macro-sized region to produce multiple level raised portions.

Apparatus for making nonwoven fabrics having raised portions

A topographical support member and method of forming a topographical support member for use in producing nonwoven fabrics, especially tricot-like nonwoven fabrics. The topographical support member includes a body having a top surface comprising a pattern of a plurality of peaks and valleys and a plurality of apertures. The apertures have a conical top portion that is surrounded by a cluster of the peaks and valleys. The center line to center line spacing of adjacent apertures is less than the major diameter of the conical top portion of the apertures. The topographical support member is formed by focusing a laser beam so that the focal point is below the top surface of a starting workpiece and drilling with the laser beam the predetermined pattern of tapered apertures. The pattern of tapered apertures forms the cluster of peaks and valleys surrounding each aperture on the top surface of the resulting support member.

Topographical support member for producing nonwoven fabrics

A topographical support member and a method of forming a topographical support member for use in producing nonwoven fabrics with raised portions, especially intaglio and slub type portions. The topographical support member comprises a body having a top surface including a first micro-sized topographical pattern and a pattern of apertures extending through the body. At least one macro-sized region recessed below the top surface is provided. The micro-sized pattern produces a background portion of the fabric and the macro-sized recessed regions produce the raised portions of the fabric. Multiple levels may be provided in the macro-sized region to produce multiple level raised portions.

An apertured film for use as a topsheet in absorbent products wherein the film is apertured and includes a plurality of micro-holes and a plurality of large-sized holes. A method of forming the film is disclosed, as well as an absorbent product incorporating the apertured film as a topsheet. The method includes the step of supporting the starting film on a backing member which has recessed zones into which the film may be deformed. In the preferred embodiment, fluid in the form of columnar streams is directed from at least two sets of orifices against the upper surface of the starting film. The orifices of the first set have a diameter greater than 10 mils, and the orifices of the second set have a diameter less than or equal to 10 mils. The fluid is discharged from the smaller orifices at a pressure of at least 500 psig, and the fluid is discharged from the larger orifices at a pressure less than 500 psig.

Method of forming improved apertured films by using fluid perforation

Nonwoven fabrics having a fibrous background portion in one plane thereof and raised fibrous portions in another plane thereof. There may be two types of raised portions. In one type, the basis weight of the raised portion is substantially the same as the basis weight of the background portion. In another type of raised portion, the basis weight is greater than the basis weight of the background portion. The raised portions are joined to the background portion by a fibrous transition region.
