A medical device that is at least partially formed of a biodegradable polymer. The medical device can be at least partially formed by MEMS technology. Polymer biodegradable medical device

A medical device that includes at least one surface structure and/or micro-structure that is at least partially coated with a protective coating.

Fragile structure protective coating

A device that is at least partially formed of a biodegradable polymer. The device can be at least partially formed by MEMS technology. The device can include one or more micro-structures that are also formed by MEMS technology. The device can include one or more agents that can be controllably and/or uncontrollably released from the device.

Biodegradable device

A medical method that is adapted for introducing the medical device into the vascular system of a body which is designed to inhibit or prevent thrombosis after the insertion of the medical device.

Thrombosis inhibiting graft

A stent that is adapted for introduction into a body passageway and which releases at least one biological agent after being inserted in the body passageway. The release of the at least one biological agent can be a controlled release via molecular diffusion through a non-porous polymer layer.

Coated medical device

A monitoring system and data archive system for a stent crimping process. The information concerning the crimped stent is used in deciding whether the stent is acceptable for insertion into the body cavity of a human or animal.

Method for verifying position on an angioplasty balloon

One aspect of the invention relates to a graft, a surface of which is coated with an amphiphilic block copolymer that includes both hydrophobic and hydrophilic polymer chains. An amphiphilic block copolymer coating according to the invention can serve as a carrier for a very broad range of drugs, possibly including every drug presently used, being considered for use, or likely to be used in the future to inhibit stenosis. The release rates of the drugs can be controlled, for example, through the length of the polymer chains, through their ratio, or through the degree of cross-linking.
