A system is provided for facilitating acquisition of credit products by a customer from a financial institution. At least one computer memory stores customer data and instructions and at least one computer processor accesses the computer memory and executing the stored instructions for performing multiple steps. Steps include receiving over a network, from the customer, a universal application for pre-approval for a suite of credit products and processing the universal application by determining customer eligibility for the credit products. The steps further include selecting available credit products from the suite of credit products based on the customer eligibility and aggregating the available credit products on a user interface and displaying the user interface over a network accessible to a customer computing system, wherein the aggregated available credit products are displayed in a selectable format. The steps additionally include updating the stored customer data and the universal application periodically and updating the available credit products displayed on the user interface based an evaluation of the updated universal application. The steps further include triggering product acquisition upon receiving a selection from the customer an available product through the user interface.

A system may perform steps such as receiving a bank card transaction authorization stream including a URL originating from the merchant computing system, the URL received in a discretionary field in the authorization stream for a bank card purchase. The system further perform the step of retrieving information at a location referenced by the URL, wherein the information includes at least a merchant identifier and line item data related to a purchase. The system may additionally attaching the retrieved data to the transaction to create a complete description of the transaction analyze the complete description of the transaction for creating at least one customer interface for the customer and at least one merchant interface for the merchant based on the analysis.

Purchase data transmission and analysis system

The invention comprises a system and method for 'waterfall' type payment processing using multiple alternative payment sources. A payor provides account information for multiple payment sources, such as a bank checking account, savings account, first credit card account, second credit card account, and so forth. The multiple payment sources are prioritized so that one is a primary payment source, another is a secondary payment source, another is a tertiary payment source, and so forth. After setting up the waterfall payment arrangement, when a bill becomes due a payee or third party payment administrator submits transactions against the payment sources in their order of priority until the payment is satisfied. Other variations and enhancements are disclosed.

Waterfall prioritized payment processing

The method and system of the invention provide a variety of techniques for using a selected alias and a selected personal identification entry (PIE) in conjunction with use of a transaction card, such as a credit card, debit card or stored value card, for example. A suitable number or other identification parameter is selected by the account-holder as an alias. The account-holder is then required to choose a PIE for security purposes. The alias is linked to the account-holder's credit card number via a database. When the account-holder enters into a transaction with a merchant, the physical card need not be present. The account-holder simply provides his or her alias and then the PIE. This can be done at any point of sale such as a store, catalog telephone order, or over the Internet. The alias and PIE are entered and authorization is returned from the credit card company.

A record-pattern expression of a record pattern of data records is translated to a character-pattern expression of a character pattern. A data-record series of data records is converted to a character string in which each character in the character string corresponds to a respective data record in the data-record series. Pattern instances of the character pattern in the character string are searched to identify ordinal character positions in the character string of characters in the character pattern instances. Data records at ordinal record positions in the record series of data records corresponding to the ordinal character positions are reported.

Exemplary embodiments provide a transaction card that may have multiple layers contained therein. The layers may include a metal sub-assembly core. The transaction card may be engraved, prior to providing to a cardholder, with a replica of the cardholder's actual signature. Additional items may be personalized upon the transaction card. The transaction card may also be incorporated into a system whereupon the transaction card may be triggered to perform an action such as emitting an audible tone or an electronic communication being sent to the cardholder.

In a network router, a tree structure or a sorting network is used to compare scheduling values and select a packet to be forwarded from an appropriate queue. In the tree structure, each leaf represents the scheduling value of a queue and internal nodes of the structure represent winners in comparisons of scheduling values of sibling nodes of the tree structure. CBR scheduling values may first be compared to select a queue and, if transmission from a CBR queue is not timely, a packet may be selected using WFQ scheduling values. The scheduling values are updated to reflect variable packet lengths and byte stuffing in the prior packet. Scheduling may be performed in multiple stages.

Apparatus and method for packet scheduling

Prefix searches for directing internet data packets are performed in a prefix search integrated circuit. The integrated circuit includes an array of search engines, each of which accesses a prefix search tree data structure to process a prefix search. An SDRAM is dedicated to each search engine, and SDRAMs share address and control pins to plural search engines on the IC chip. Internal nodes of the tree data structure are duplicated across banks of the SDRAMs to increase bandwidth, and leaf nodes are stored across the SDRAM banks to reduce storage requirements. Within each search engine, data stored in a data register from an SDRAM is compared to a prefix search key stored in a key register. Based on that comparison, an address is calculated to access further tree structure data from the SDRAM. Packet descriptors containing search keys are forwarded to the search engines from an input queue and the search results are forwarded to an output queue, the same packet order being maintained in the two queues.
