A housing is provided for placement of the patient's foot. A digital radiation detector has a detector transport actuable to move the detector along an arcuate detector path within the housing, the detector path having a radius Rabout the center and concentric with the source path, wherein Ris less than R, and wherein the detector path extends from one side of the pedestal indent to the other. A gap closure apparatus is movable to a position that continues the detector path across the circumferential gap and encloses the detector path.

An x-ray cassette for computed radiography comprising: a top panel and a bottom panel, at least one panel formed from a material the panel being that which incident x-rays will pass through comprising a metal/thermoplastic/metal sandwich; the top and bottom panels being fastened for holding the front and the back panels together and create a cavity between the panels; and a storage phosphor device contained within the cavity between the first panel and the second panel.

A storage phosphor cassette comprising a shell including upper and lower rectangular panels, first and second side members, and a front end member, the side members and the front end member joining the upper and lower panels to form a five sided cavity having an open end; wherein the lower panel includes a segment at the open end, the segment formed of folded over stainless steel having latch cars cut into the front edge thereof; a storage phosphor assembly including a back end member, an insert plate having an upper face and being cantilevered from the back end member, and an x-ray storage phosphor disposed on the upper face of the insert plate, wherein the storage phosphor assembly is removably contained in the shell such that the back end member closes off the open end of the shell; wherein the insert plate is rectangular with front, back, and side edges , and is formed of a rigid composite having upper and lower aluminum skins and an aluminum honeycomb core, the core having recesses along the front, back, and side edges; wherein the back end member extends into the back recess, the composite being secured to the back end member; wherein the insert plate includes side inserts which are secured in the side recesses of the composite, which are interlocked at their back ends with the back end member, and which extend slightly beyond the upper and lower skins of the composite to form a bumper system to absorb and distribute forces away from the composite to the back end member, and further includes a front insert secured in the front recess of the composite.

A class A bridge topology for audio amplifiers configured to operate in constant current mode, comprising power stages (3,4,5,6) supplied by supplies (8,9) and driven to equal amplitude opposite phase output signals applied across a load (7). Bridge amplifier topology

A masking system for masking the viewing area of a radiograph light box comprises a pair of spaced, endless belts disposed in substantially perpendicular relationship. Each of the belts has spaced opaque regions and spaced transparent regions connecting the opaque regions. The belts are supported on rollers and are movable to selectively position portions of the opaque regions into alignment with the edge regions of the image support.

Mask system for radiograph light box

A stool upholstered with a protective stool cover, and related objects are shown. The cover comprises a seat encapsulating, cover material, the lower edge of which is attached to a seat pan covering, shaped wall profile which protects against inadvertant, cover material damaging impact against the seat pan. The profile also eliminates the discernment of outlines of the edge of the interface between the seat pan and the cushioning material through the covering material. The profile includes a flange section adapted for attachment to the lower side of the seat pan, which extends at substantially right angles from one end of the seat pan edge covering collar section, as well as a seam section adapted for sewn attachment to the covering material. The seam section is offset and extends from the other end of the collar section, parallel and adjacent to a line of extension therefrom.

Protective stool bumper

Disclosed is a seat cushion constructed of cellular elastic material wherein its design provides more uniform distribution of supportive forces exerted by the cushion over a larger area of the anatomical portions of a person seated thereon for minimizing squeezing and restriction of arteries and nerves located in the anatomical portions of a person seated on the cushion. The cellular elastic material of the seat cushion is divided into segments having different moduli of elasticity. The modulus of elasticity of each segment is inversely proportional to the pressure exerted on such segment by the anatomical portion of a person seated on the cushion. Also disclosed is a back cushion of similar design.
