A modular chemical dispensing system includes a plurality of rail members combining to define a wall-mounted grid for supporting dispensing and chemical source modules. The grid is easily secured to a wall and the modules moved laterally onto the grid with rotatable locks securing the modules to the rails. Chemical source modules have lockable doors preventing unauthorized access to chemicals therein and preventing unauthorized module removal. A variety of module configurations are provided, reducing inventories of custom parts. Methods are disclosed.

Modular chemical dispensing system and methods

A system and method for monitoring the levels of product in a chemical dispensing system. A probe assembly is operatively disposed in a container holding product to be dispensed. A detection circuit including an oscillator sensitive to the impendence coupled to the detector is selectively coupled to the probe assembly and produces a signal in response to the impedance of the probe assembly indicating if the level of product in the container has dropped below the probe assembly. The probe assembly includes conductive probes formed from corrosion resistant material infused with carbon and separated by an angle. The level of the first and second conductive probes is adjustable to provide control over the level of product to be detected. Multiple probe assemblies may be selectively coupled to the detection circuit in a repeating sequence by a multi-probe monitoring unit to allow monitoring of multiple containers by a single remote alarm.

System and method for product level monitoring in a chemical dispensing system

Removable chemical reservoirs are translucent and have filling marks on a front, hollow handle where chemical concentrate fill levels are visible and measurable. The reservoirs are filled with new concentrate from a current fill level mark to a full level mark and the volume of concentrate filled between the marks is calculated for filling and inventory purposes. The front handle is narrower than the reservoir sides and flanges at the upper end of the reservoir to facilitate in and out sliding of the reservoir for billing and cleaning.

Chemical dispensing reservoir apparatus and methods

Improvements in modular dispenser and chemical source cabinets include field-replaceable door hinges, field-serviceable dispenser manifolds, removeably mounted in the modular dispenser cabinets, and rotating water inlet fittings to facilitate interconnection to a water source and the placement of chemical cabinet modules in close proximity. These features are used together or separately and preferably with customizable rail mounting elements.

Refillable chemical reservoir

An improved chemical dispenser includes a plurality of eductors for drawing chemical into a diluent to produce an effluent, each eductor of the plurality selectively discharging via a baffle tube into a single common discharge tube. The effluent flow parameters are insufficient to cause effluent from a selected eductor to flow into a chemical source coupled to a non-selected eductor, and are insufficient to draw chemical from a non-selected eductor into the effluent from a selected eductor.

A dispenser selectively mixes one or more chemical fluids into a motive fluid such as water by using diverting motive fluid to one or more channels formed in an eductor body, at least one of the channels being an eductor. When the motive fluid passes through the eductor, a selected chemical fluid is eductively drawn into the venturi of the eductor, producing a mixed fluid having a desired total flow rate and dilution ratio. Additional dilution ratios, flow rates, and chemical fluids are selectable by diverting motive fluid to another channel or combinations of channels. Carry-over of chemical fluid between dispensing is avoided by diverting the motive fluid rather than by diverting the concentrated chemical fluid.

Multiple chemical product eductive dispenser

A dispenser for dispensing at two flow rates eductively draws a chemical fluid such as a concentrated cleaning solution for diluting with a motive fluid such as water. Using eduction rather than gravity feed provides a consistent dilution ratio over a range of pressures of the motive fluid. A chemical reservoir contains the chemical fluid and a bottle insert assembly for interfacing to the dispenser. The bottle insert assembly seals an opening to the reservoir when the reservoir is not inserted in the dispenser, preventing leaks. Also, the bottle insert assembly includes dual pickup tubes, each with a purge accumulator, to allow dual rate flow at the same or different dilution ratios as well as drawing back unused chemical fluids from the dispenser to avoid carryover or contamination.

Multiple flow rate eductive dispenser

An ultra-lean dilution apparatus is provided for proportioning minute quantities of a first fluid, such as a concentrated cleaning solution, for mixing into a second fluid, such as tap water, which provides improved performance and which can be manufactured by assembling several molded components with little or no machining. The dilution apparatus ( ) provides a selective pressure drop in a conduit ( ) by including a plurality of dilution disks ( ), each dilution disk ( ) having a tortuous path ( ) of sufficient cross-sectional area to be resistant to clogging and having a sufficient number of sharp turns to create a desired pressure drop. While each disk ( ) produces a predetermined drop, the serial configuration of the tortuous paths of the plurality of dilution disks is additive to produce a range of dilution suitable for the chemicals used. Advantageously, the tortuous path of a first of the plurality of dilution disks ( ) is recessed into a front face so that bringing the front face ( ) of the first dilution disk ( ) in contact with a back face ( ) of a second dilution disk ( ) completes the tortuous path ( ). Furthermore, a blind intake ( ) of the tortuous path ( ) of the first dilution disk ( ) selectively communicates with an output port ( ) of another tortuous path ( ) on a front face ( ) the second dilution disk ( ).

Ultra-lean dilution apparatus

Advantageously, the tortuous path of a first of the plurality of dilution disks (,) is recessed into a front face so that bringing the front face (,) of the first dilution disk (,) in contact with a back face (,) of a second dilution disk (,) completes the tortuous path (,).

A three-piece air gap eductor includes a molded body having air gap, discharge and venturi sections, a nozzle and a spray shield extending about the venturi section entry to constrain turbulence and reduce backsplash and spray exiting the air gap chamber. A water stream engaging the outer-driven venturi is smoothly divided into respective venturi and bypass streams, with the frustoconical shield capturing turbulent water outside the venturi in a water sheet moving toward a discharge. An improved shield is frustoconically shaped, has an internal reflection shoulder and external moister collecting bars to enhance mist and spray reduction in the air gap section. A V-shaped recess in the shield facilitates its emplacement about the venturi section. The molded body is stiffened to avoid functional misalignment of the water stream between the nozzle and the venturi.

Air gap eductor

An improved venturi eductor for proportional dispensing of chemicals into flowing water includes a large anti-siphoning air gap section. The air gap section includes an outer wall and an inner wall with a gap between the walls. Both walls include offset vents or windows that provide an indirect path from the center of the air gap to the exterior of the eductor. The eductor is made from several molded parts that may be assembled without requiring machining. Further, eductor has a unique spray shield design that more effectively controls water splash in the eductor section and simplifies assembly.

An improved selector valve includes a sealing disc with a sealing face biased against an opposed sealing face of a port plate. The sealing disc has a blind slot located in the sealing face which communicates with an outlet port and a single selected inlet port on the port plate, while simultaneously sealing off all other inlet ports. Detents define the angular radial disposition of the slot for indicating which inlet port is selected. A venturi eductor has a suction passage sealed directly to the port plate outlet for connecting the venturi directly to a selected inlet port.
