A method, computer program product, and system for automatic placement and layering of images at runtime include a processor(s) obtaining images that represent components of an object, including a first image and a second image. The processor(s) annotates the first image with data indicating one or more locations on the first image where the second image can be placed. The processor(s) determines, during runtime, a position or orientation of the one or more locations on the first image, based on the annotated first image. The processor(s) compares each location to data in a system file to determine a first location that is a placement for the second image on the first image. The processor(s) layers the second image over the first image at the first location. The processor(s) renders the two dimensional model of the object, including the layered images, displays it in the graphical user interface.

Spatial and hierarchical placement of images at runtime

A message broker configured to handle messages received from a plurality of client applications comprises a plurality of message queues that are each associated with a different task. A first synchronous message is received at a first message queue from a first client application. A determination is made that at a time the first synchronous message is received there is an earlier-received message from a different client application waiting in the first message queue. In response to the determination, the first synchronous message is coalesced with the earlier-received message such that a task associated with the first message queue is executed only once for both messages and a notice of the execution is returned to the first client application.

If the user subsequently selects the link, then the corresponding html and associated graphics files will be available from local memory so there is little delay in fetching the html and associated graphics files.

A computer system selectively loads graphics for a web page. The user selects graphics on, graphics off or necessary graphics. In response to the user selection of graphics on, the system automically selects to display a web page with regular text and graphics associated with the web page. In response to the user selection of graphics off, the system selects to display a web page with regular text, without graphics and with alternate text, if any, for the graphics. In response to user selection of necessary graphics, the system selects to display a web page with regular text, without nonclickable graphics, without clickable graphics that have alternate text, with the alternate text, and with clickable graphics that do not have alternate text. Thus, all graphics necessary to know the consequence of selecting a hot link are displayed. Also, the system displays background images, if any, which are necessary for text readibility.

Web browser which automatically loads selected types of graphics

A guided tour of some portion of the World Wide Web (WWW) works as part of an ordinary web page, can be served by any web server, and can be used by web browsers without additional software. The system guides a user through a tour by displaying in sequence actual web pages in the tour along with a corresponding teaching web page. The teaching web page includes educational information about the current web page. The tour includes commentary, allowance for side trips, true visiting of the tour pages, not mere copies, maps, and 'static' (user clicks for next page) and 'dynamic' (a timer controls how long a tour page is on-screen) tours.

HTML guided web tour

A method of browsing the Worldwide Web of the Internet and presenting elements of a web page to a user. The web browser requests a desired HTML and then requests other elements of the page based upon user defined priority levels. Elements are presented to the user in priority sequence as soon as received eliminating unnecessary waiting for lower priority or unrequested elements, as well as partial display of desired elements.
