A reinforced cross laminated corrugated paperboard bulk container has an outer component with corrugations running in a first direction, and an inner liner laminated to the outer component, with the liner having corrugations extending perpendicular to the corrugations in the outer component. Reinforcing strands are in both the liner and the outer component, extending perpendicular to the respective corrugations thereof. Interlocking top flanges are on the top edges of the outer component, and interlocking bottom flanges are on the bottom edges thereof. The interlocking bottom flanges include a chevron shaped locking slot in one flange and a locking tab on an opposed bottom flange. Folds extend across the bottom flanges to enable them to deflect and slide relative to one another during set up of the container. Vertical scores in the liner are pre-broken prior to laminating it to the outer component.

Reinforced cross-laminated bulk container

A reinforced cross laminated corrugated paperboard bulk container has an outer component and an inner liner laminated to the outer component with the liner having corrugations extending perpendicular to the corrugations in the outer component. The bottom edges of the sidewalls include a first pair of flaps and a second pair of flaps each of which foldably extend outwardly therefrom and wherein each of the second pair of flaps having a pair of spaced apart triangularly shaped slots formed therein and wherein each of the first pair of flaps includes a pair of locking tabs formed on opposed end of the respective first pair of flaps which are engaged with the slots on the second pair of the flaps to securely close the bottom of the container. Vertical scores in the liner are pre-broken prior to laminating it to the outer component.

A bulk shipping and storage container in the form of a drum is made of corrugated fiberboard and includes a bin with a sidewall, a closed bottom and an open top. The sidewall has a plurality of interconnected sidewall panels, and a rim is on an upper outer surface of the sidewall for engagement by the tines of a forklift to carry the container. The locking structure on the lid and bin enable the lid to be locked in place. The bottom of the container has adhesively attached overlapping panels that provide smooth interior and exterior surfaces. A preferred embodiment has a tray inserted in the bottom and a liner inserted in the tray and extending upwardly inside the sidewall. In another embodiment, a shock-absorbing pad is between the liner and the lid.

Bulk shipping container

A corrugated bulk container for shipping, storing and dispensing liquids and semi-liquid fluids. The container is a laminated triple wall open-ended tube having side walls and end walls, and a bag assembly is supported in the tube for containing the liquid or semi-liquid fluid. The bag assembly includes a bag having a fill valve and a dispensing valve attached to it, a bag cassette to which a bottom end of the bag is attached, and a fill valve support plate to which a top end of the bag is attached. The bag cassette has structure to receive and hold the dispensing valve in position relative to a dispensing valve opening in the tube, and the fill valve support plate has structure to receive and support the fill valve. The container is attached to a pallet by severable structure, and the fill valve support plate is attached to the tube by severable structure so that the bag assembly can be removed from the container, for easy collapse of the container for disposal or recycling. Fill valve support structure is cut from the fill valve support plate and folded into a position to receive and support the fill valve.

Rigid corrugated bulk container for liquids and semi-liquid fluids

A corrugated paperboard bulk box has opposed pairs of parallel side walls, and in a preferred embodiment, has interposed diagonal corner panels to form an octagonal box. The bottom of the box is closed by first and second opposed pairs of flaps, wherein a T-shaped locking tab is formed on the free edge of one of the flaps of the first pair, and a notch is formed in the free edge of each of the flaps of the second pair. In erecting the box, the flaps of the first pair are first folded inwardly over the bottom of the box, with the free edges thereof confronting one another and the flaps lying in substantially flush, coplanar relationship. The flaps of the second pair are then folded inwardly over the first pair, with the free edges of the flaps of the second pair lying in confronting relationship with one another and the notches therein defining a central opening. The locking tab is pulled outwardly through the central opening to lock the flaps in their inwardly folded relationship and define a smooth interior bottom surface in the box.

Bulk box with a quick lock bottom and smooth interior bottom surface

A corrugated paperboard bulk box has opposed pairs of parallel side walls, and in a preferred embodiment, has interposed diagonal corner panels to form an octagonal box. The bottom of the box is closed by opposed pairs of interlocking major and minor bottom flaps, wherein one pair of flaps have notches in their free edges and the other pair of flaps have T-shaped locking tabs in their free edges. The notches form a central opening in the bottom when the flaps are folded closed, and the locking tabs are pushed through the opening to lock the flaps closed. Aligning tabs project outwardly from opposite side edges of one pair of opposed bottom flaps, and complemental slots are formed at the folding connection of another pair of bottom flaps, so that when the flaps are folded inwardly toward one another, the tabs extend into the slots to square the box and hold it square.

Bulk box with quick-lock bottom and set-up feature

An inexpensive, strong, fully recyclable and easy to assemble display shelf assembly made from folded blanks of corrugated liner board, includes a support housing having a back panel with side panels extending forwardly from opposite edges thereof. Each side panel has an inner wall and a spaced, parallel outer wall connected by narrow panels at their opposite edges, defining box-like structures. A plurality of slots are formed in the opposite, confronting inner walls, and a plurality of shelf units have their opposite ends received in respective slots to support the shelf units on the support housing. Each shelf unit is made from folded blanks of corrugated liner board so that a substantially unbroken top surface is provided, with box beam structures beneath and supporting the top surface.

Display shelf assembly

An inexpensive, strong, and easy to assemble display shelf unit made from folded blanks of corrugated liner board, includes a base member having a back panel with side panels extending forwardly from opposite edges thereof. Each side panel has a plurality of flaps on its free edge folded inwardly and rearwardly alongside the respective side panel to define a plurality of generally vertically aligned pockets. A plurality of shelf units extend between the side panels and are made from folded blanks of corrugated liner board. Each shelf unit has a downturned flap on its opposite end engaged in a respective pocket to support the shelf units on the base. Shelf supports are engaged between adjacent shelf units at approximately their midportion to reinforce the shelf units.
