Reliable and durable tether clips that continue to tether two panels together while allowing for a controlled displacement between the two panels in response to a predetermined force are disclosed. The tether clips according to the present invention include a first retaining means near a first end that is adapted to be securable to a first panel, a second retaining means that is engageable with the second panel and limits the relative separation between the panels, and a releasable fastener means intermediate the first and second retaining means that normally maintains the two panels in a closed configuration relative to one another but that releases at least one of the panels relative to the other panel in response to a predetermined force tending to separate the panels.

Tether clip system

The invention is a tie-down hoop for slidably mounting within a guide rail. An embodiment of the tie-down hoop includes a hoop, a button, a bezel, an elastomeric spring, and a sliding plate. Other embodiments of the tie-down hoop may include a hoop, a bezel, possibly a bushing between the hoop and bezel, a sliding plate, and at least one elastomeric spring. The bezel is biased towards the top of the guide rail by the spring. The top of the guide rail includes a plurality of detents for securing the tie-down hoop in a desired position. The tie-down hoop may be employed in vehicle seat guide rails to tie down cargo to the vehicle floor.

A push lock assembly having a housing with mounting elements for mounting the push lock to a mounting surface, a pawl carried on the housing, an actuating knob, a cam member and a lock plug which is carried in the actuating knob and associated with the cam member for rotation thereof, the mounting elements facilitating mounting of the push lock from single side of a panel.

A draw latch for latching together two closure members having an open and a closed position and having a keeper, a base bracket, a housing, and a clevis, the keeper secured to one of the closure members, the a base bracket attached to the other of the closure members, the a housing having a first end and a second end, the first end of the housing pivotally and detachably connected to the keeper, the a clevis having a first and a second end, the first end of the clevis pivotally secured to the base bracket, and the second end of the clelvis pivotally secured to the second end of the housing; and the draw latch having secondary catches to secure the draw latch in the open and/or closed position.

A draw latch for securing a first closure panel with a second closure panel, having a base mounted to one of the closure panels, a cover member and a pivot member, the pivot member connecting said base with said cover member, there being a matingly provided keeper member which is mounted on the other closure panel to secure the cover for latching, the draw latch pivot member, base and cover being configured to facilitate installation of the pivot member thereto.

A fastener secures to a first member. The fastener comprises an attachment member and a retaining member connected to the attachment member for rotation. The attachment member has a body and a support. The retaining member is positioned between the body and the support. The support is attached to and moveable relative to the body for regulating frictional resistance between the retaining member and the attachment member.

Panel fastener and retainer device

A blind latching system secures a closure element to a storage structure. A keeper sub-assembly is mounted in a fixed position for engagement by a latch sub-assembly which is affixed to and moves with the closure element. The keeper sub-assembly includes a keeper pin defining a generally elongated shaft, a mounting bracket into which the keeper pin is received and a housing for permitting alignment of the keeper pin when fastening with the latch sub-assembly.
