Provided herein are dual-lumen catheters, systems, and methods thereof. In some embodiments, for example, a catheter assembly configured for modifying intravascular lesions is provided including a core wire, a dual-lumen extrusion including the core wire, and a manifold disposed around a portion of the dual-lumen extrusion. The core wire includes a proximal end configured to vibrationally couple to an ultrasound transducer. The dual-lumen extrusion includes a first lumen and a second lumen. The core wire is disposed within the first lumen, and the second lumen is configured to accommodate a guidewire. The manifold is disposed around at least a skived proximal-end portion of the dual-lumen extrusion, wherein the skived portion includes the second lumen without the first lumen. In some embodiments, the catheter assembly further includes the ultrasound transducer. In some embodiments, a system console includes the ultrasound transducer.

Dual-lumen ultrasonic catheters, systems, and methods

An endovascular apparatus takes the form of an expandable tubular body having a retriever, which may include a pair of interconnected hooks. The retriever may be formed from a single piece of material forming the tubular body, and in the case of a pair of hooks thus has a thickness corresponding to approximately twice the wall thickness of the tubular body. The innermost radial portion of the hooks may be offset from a central axis of a lumen formed by the tubular body, which facilitates free insertion of a balloon or the like for purposes of expanding the tubular body. Related methods of manufacturing an endovascular apparatus with a retriever are also described herein.

Endovascular apparatus with enhanced retrievability and related methods

An apparatus for performing an endovascular procedure using ultrasonic energy includes a catheter comprising a wave guide including an expandable portion for delivering the ultrasonic energy from a source for performing the endovascular procedure. The expandable portion may comprise a plurality of wires formed of a shape memory material. A retractable sheath may be provided for receiving the plurality of wires in the non-deployed position and for being withdrawn to expose the wires in the deployed position. A linear actuator for moving the plurality of wires in a longitudinal direction or a rotary actuator for rotating the plurality of wires may also be provided.

A device for winding a filament around a structure disposed concentrically around a distal end of a balloon catheter includes a rotatable holder for retaining a distal end of the balloon catheter, a translatable winding carriage for helically winding the tensioned filament around the balloon catheter distal end, a heater for applying a predetermined amount of heat to a section of the balloon catheter having the filament wound therearound, and a controller for controlling at least the rate of rotation of the holder, the tensioning force applied to the filament, the amount of heat applied by the heater, and the rate of travel of the translatable winding carriage along the longitudinal dimension of the balloon catheter. By use of the device, the balloon is heat set and a predetermined checkering pattern of surface indentations are provided in the structure exterior surface in a single pass.
