Techniques are provided for generating activity-based network profiles for devices, and for ranking such devices using the activity-based network profiles. One method comprises evaluating device communications to identify services that communicated with devices of an enterprise; generating an activity-based network profile for each device based on the services that communicated with each respective device; clustering the devices into a plurality of clusters based on a functional characterization of the devices derived from the activity-based network profiles; and ranking the devices within a cluster based on network activity and/or network exposure. The activity-based network profile for a given device: (i) identifies the services that communicated with the given device, (ii) identifies other devices that communicate with a respective service on the given device, and (iii) provides a local fraction metric based on network metrics of the other devices that communicate with the respective service on the given device.

Ranking of enterprise devices using activity-based network profiles and functional characterization-based device clustering

A protective device for hoofed animals fabricated of a durable and flexible material. The protective device includes a base and a wall with the wall designed to enclose a hoof of an animal such as a horse or cow. The protective device includes a size adjustment mechanism such as a sizing opening in combination with a plurality of tread grooves which assists in the adjustment of the size and shape of the hoof to fit a variety of hoofs. The protective device preferably includes a shear-relief portion formed such that the front of a hoof has minimal contact with the device The protective device is held in place by an attachment mechanism such as a strap with holes and corresponding pegs positioned roughly circumferentially around the device. Ease of installation, decreased impact, and improved traction are all benefits provided by the protective device disclosed. Additionally, the protective device may be used as a simple and convenient way for attaching medical packs to the bottom of a hoof

Protective device for hoofed animals

An improved impact tool head having separate and distinct pressing and cutting blades integrally molded therein. The impact tool head allows for independent and optimal material and dimensional design of the pressing blades and the cutting blades to minimize impact damage to a terminal block and to ensure longer useful tool life. Also, through the use of multiple components, the impact tool head is readily adaptable to a wide variety of different terminal block configurations. Furthermore, sets of pressing blades and sets of cutting blades may be formed with each set comprising a continuous piece of material in order to simplify manufacturing and to ensure uniformity of production. Additionally, the integral molded structure is designed to allow post-molding sharpening of the cutting blades in order to ensure blade uniformity to further improve blade durability.

Impact tool head with cutting blades

Two pincer bucket halves, each including a horizontal blade, are mounted on a frame for opposed pivotal movement in a normally horizontal plane about respective parallel normally vertical axes. An upstanding back spans the axes and upstanding sides extend perpendicularly from the outer edges of the pincer blades. To pick up material, such as a pile of leaves or branches, from a ground surface, the pincer bucket halves are opened and advanced toward the pile with the opposed blades in contact with the ground surface. After the bucket halves are located on opposite sides of the pile, the bucket halves are brought together so that the blades are closed, thereby undercutting and supporting the material, with the vertical sides of the buckets confining the material in combination with the vertical back. The embraced material may then be elevated and transported within the bucket. The material is discharged by tilting the bucket forwardly and opening the bucket halves. As a modification, the two bucket halves may be pivoted about a single vertical axis.
