A luminaire comprising: a chassis (), the chassis () comprising: four walls joined to form a rectangular cavity, each wall of the four walls comprising: &#x2014;a heat sink (); &#x2014;a wiring channel (); &#x2014;a first receiving channel () on a first side of the heat sink (); and&#x2014;a second receiving channel () on a second side of the heat sink (); a light emitting diode board () attached to a first wall of the four walls; a first extrusion () attached to a second wall of the four walls; a second extrusion () attached to a third wall of the four walls; wherein the light emitting diode board () comprises a first protrusion that fits into the first receiving channel and a second protrusion that fits into the second receiving channel; and wherein the light emitting diode board () rests on the heat sink () of the first wall when the first protrusion is fit into the first receiving channel and the second protrusion is fit into the second receiving channel.

Linear modular luminaire

A luminaire includes a lightguide panel that is configured to receive light from a light source through an edge thereof and emit light through major surfaces thereof. Further, the luminaire includes an electrochromic film that is disposed on one of the major surfaces of the lightguide panel to adjust an amount of light exiting through the one major surface by controlling an opacity of the electrochromic film. The opacity of the electrochromic film is controlled by controlling an electrical power supplied thereto. In another example, the electrochromic film is disposed on a major surface of a lens that is disposed below and spaced apart from a light source that emits light in a first direction. The opacity of the electrochromic film is controlled by controlling the electrical power supplied thereto to adjust an amount of light that is reflected by the lens to a second direction.
