A computer device may include a memory configured to store instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to determine a service requirement for a client device connected to a WiFi access point in a customer premises network that includes a plurality of WiFi access points. The processor may be further configured to monitor a service requirement parameter, associated with the determined service requirement, for the client device; detect that the service requirement parameter is within a threshold of the determined service requirement; and perform a self-organizing network (SON) action on the customer premises network, in response to detecting that the service requirement parameter is within the threshold of the determined service requirement.

Self-organizing customer premises network

An illuminated head-gear assembly includes a cap that may be worn on a user's head. A retainer is removably coupled to the cap. A brim is removably coupled to the retainer. A strap is removably coupled to the cap to adjust a size of the cap. A first sleeve is positionable on the brim to alter an appearance of the brim. A front light emitter is coupled to the cap so the front light emitter emits light. A top light emitter is coupled to the cap so the top light emitter emits light. A motion sensor is coupled to the cap. The motion sensor is operationally coupled to the front and top light emitters so the motion sensor selectively actuates the front and top light emitters. An actuator is coupled to the cap. The actuator is operationally coupled to the motion sensor so the actuator actuates the motion sensor.

A system includes a media content processing subsystem and user input device having a plurality of control surfaces each configured to cause the input device to transmit at least one command to the media content processing subsystem. The input device is configured to acquire an image of a fingerprint of a finger touching the control surface and cause the processing subsystem to execute the command in accordance with a user profile that corresponds to the acquired fingerprint image.

Systems and methods for controlling access to media content by detecting one or more user fingerprints

Groups of consenting users such as families can track where other members of the same group are under agreed upon access arrangements. The locating system can operate in a passive mode. Users do not have to actively sign-in or check-in to the locating system for the locating system to obtain individual location determination estimates. The locating system collects communications device usage information from a plurality of communications networks, e.g., landline, cellular, Wi-Fi, DSL. The locations of communication devices and infrastructure are known. Members of locating groups are associated with various communication devices detected are being used. Approximate locations of an individual member or members of a locating group are inferred from detected device usage information. A location report is generated, e.g., in a map, table, or audio format, indicating the determined location of individuals, and optionally including time tags. The report is provided to authorized members of the locating group.

Passive individual locator method

A client device is registered with a registrar in a network. A graphical user interface that includes a menu for selecting video content is displayed on the client. A request is made via a network according to a standard protocol for video content from a server that is registered with the registrar. Further, video content is received from the server.
