A roofing safety line engagement assembly includes a plate that has a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge. The perimeter edge includes a front edge, a rear edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The first lateral edge has a plurality of slots therein. Each of the slots engages a nail extended into a roof. The slots are angled toward the front edge such that an angle between each of the slots and the first lateral edge is less than 60&#xb0;. A catch is attached to and extends upwardly from the plate. The catch is positioned adjacent to the rear edge and releasably engages a safety line.

The scope mount assembly may include a base member and at least one ring extending from the base member. The at least one ring may be configured to secure at least a portion of the scope therein. Scope mount assembly

A residual feed pick-up system for poultry farming utilizes a tractor and trailer combination in which the blower for a pneumatic conveyor is mounted on the trailer. The hydraulic motor that drives the blower is also located on the trailer. Feed pick-up can be effected by the trailer accompanied by a standard over-the-road tractor equipped with a conventional and economically available hydraulic power takeoff unit commonly known as a PTO. The feed supplier to the poultry farm can use any of such commonly configured tractors in its normal operating fleet combined with the trailer having the onboard hydraulically driven blower for low-volume, residual feed pick-up service, thereby increasing reliability and availability of the service at advantageously low cost.

A dispenser for a soft-serve food product includes a housing having a dispensing chute and a piston having a head positioned therewithin. A lateral wall, the piston head, and a front door define an enclosed hollow space. The head is slidable within the lateral wall for squeezing a deformable container to dispense product through the chute. A system for preparing and dispensing a soft-serve food product includes a tempering freezer for raising a temperature of the food product from hard-frozen to a condition for soft-serve dispensing. An apparatus for packaging a soft-serve confection into a multiple-serving-size container for transport includes a blender for blending ingredients together to form a blended product and a device for transferring the blended product into a deformable container. The deformable container filled with the blended product is transferred into a substantially rigid mold and frozen to a hardened state for transport and retention.

Frozen confection dispenser and associated methods

An automatic flavor-injected blending apparatus includes a base, a processor, and a user input in signal communication with the processor. A blending spindle is rotatably affixed at an upper end to the base and is rotatable under processor control. A container support is movably affixed to the base and is movable between a lower position for placing a container thereon and an upper position closer to the spindle's upper end. A selected flavor is injectable into the container. Software is resident in the processor that is adapted to receive the flavor selection and actuate the injection. The software is further adapted to actuate the spindle rotation. Since the blending process is automated, the server can start the apparatus, step away and attend to other duties while the apparatus is functioning, and return at a later time after a timer has turned off the spindle rotator.

Automatic flavor-injected blending apparatus and method

The invention pertains to a liquid polish for metals, glass, plastics and their derivatives: the novel liquid polish reduces application and buffing time significantly compared to prior art polishes using animal fat, glycerides, oils, wetting agents or tallow and uses unique compounds for increasing contact between the abrasive oxides within said liquid polish and surface contaminants of polished materials.

Preparing a flavored confection includes using a disposable container of a neutral-flavored mix, which is transferred to a tempering freezer. The container is removed from the tempering freezer, and a selected syrup is pumped from a carton into the container for blending while the mix remains chilled. The syrup provides the selected flavor to the mix for serving within the disposable serving container. In another method, a flavored shake drink is prepared from the mix by dispensing flavored syrup through one of a plurality of dedicated nozzles, each in fluid communication with a corresponding solenoid control valve. A timer controls the valve open time to dispense a preselected amount of syrup. Switches are provided for doubling and halving the quantity of syrup for creating varying single-flavored and combination-flavored shakes. In addition to shielding around the blender spindle, a protective sleeve is placed within the cup for limiting splash during blending.

Slurried confection preparation and flavor-injected blending system and method

A method for preparing a flavored slurried confection includes the use of a disposable serving container holding an individual serving of a neutral flavored mix which has a freezing point temperature lower than normally found for that of water. A large supply of the mix filled containers is stored in a storage freezer for maintaining the neutral flavored mix at a storage temperature, such as is typical of a food storage freezer for a restaurant. A desired quantity of the mix filled containers is then transferred from the storage freezer to a tempering freezer, generally close to a preparation and serving area, for maintaining the neutral flavored mix at a desirable blending temperature. The mix filled container is then removed from the tempering freezer for preparation of a flavored confection, such as a flavored shake. In preparing the flavored confection, a small quantity of a selected syrup is pumped from a selected bag-in-the-box styled carton into the mix filled container for blending the selected syrup with the neutral flavored mix while the mix remains chilled at the blending temperature. The small quantity of syrup adds provides the selected flavor to the neutral flavored mix for forming the flavored slurried confection which is then served within the disposable serving container.

Method for preparing a slurried confection

A safety shield, suitable for use in a marine environment, which can be quickly and easily removed from around the end flange of a pipeline or hose. It is used to aid in the containment of any leaking fluid from the end flange, such escaping fluid being collected in a drip barrel or the like. The shield incorporates a housing, open at the bottom, with a notch in the front wall for a pipeline to pass through. The housing is fastened to the pipeline by selectively engaging or disengaging the outer circumference of the end flange with an adjustable open annular ring or strap. A window may be included in the top wall of the housing of this shield so that the user can view the end flange prior to installation and/or removal.

A method of drying condensate from the heat exchanger of a vehicle's air conditioning system after operation in order to thwart odor buildup is provided. The method comprises first determining that the engine of the vehicle has been switched off and that the air conditioning system of the vehicle was in operation prior to the engine being switched off. If these two conditions are met, the blower of the vehicle's air conditioning system is operated on a predetermined time schedule to draw air through the heat exchanger and through the air conditioning duct work to dry condensate from the heat exchanger and from interior surfaces of the duct work. In this way, the growth of fungus and bacteria that cause odor is thwarted.

Method and apparatus for odor elimination in vehicle air conditioning

A safety shield, suitable for use in a marine environment, which can be quickly and easily removed from around a coupling or the like that is used to secure a pipeline or hose together. This safety shield can also be used to cover or surround an end fitting or plug in the pipeline or hose. It is used to aid in the containment of any leaking fluid from the coupling or fitting, such escaping fluid being collected in a drip barrel or the like. The shield has an inverted U-shaped housing, open at the bottom, with aligned notches in the front and rear walls for a pipeline with joint to pass through. The housing is fastened to the pipeline by chains or ropes, passing under the pipeline and secured to the front and rear walls of the housing, respectively. A window is included in the top wall of the housing of this shield so that the user can view the fitting or coupling prior to installation and/or removal.
