There is provided a safety switch having a housing configured to receive a removable key, and a mechanism arranged to be operated when the key is moved from an engaged position to a partially disengaged position, the mechanism being arranged to cause a signal to pass to a separate apparatus, wherein the safety switch further comprises a lock which is controlled by the separate apparatus and is arranged to prevent the key from being fully disengaged from the safety switch until a signal has been received in response from the separate apparatus.

Safety switch

A safety lock out switch system for the prevention of an unexpected restart of an electrically powered machine in whose main power circuit it is installed. Therein the power-free status of the power supply output of the system is confirmed visually. The system is configured so it is flexible, thus being able to be used in the most various types or sizes of machines. Technical aspects and safety aspects were taken into account therein so that the installation can be carried out in practically every country in the world.

System for reliable prevention of the restarting of a machine

An extruder and methods for converting pressurized liquid CO.sub.2 feed into dry ice pellets of predetermined shape and size, wherein the CO.sub.2 snow formation, CO.sub.2 snow compaction, and dry ice pellet extrusion phases occur simultaneously to achieve production rates on the order of 700-1000 lbs/hr. The increased production rates are achieved utilizing sintered plastic filter media to provide enhanced removal of CO.sub.2 gas from the CO.sub.2 snow formation chamber.

Pellet extruding machine

An extruder for converting pressurized liquid CO.sub.2 feed into dry ice pellets of predetermined shape and size, wherein the CO.sub.2 snow formation, CO.sub.2 snow compaction, and dry ice pellet extrusion phases occur simultaneously to achieve production rates on the order of 700-1000 lbs/hr. The compacted CO.sub.2 snow may be in the form of a solid cartridge or irregularly shaped solids, and such compacted particles may constitute an end product by themselves. The increased production rates are also achieved by enhanced removal of CO.sub.2 gas from the CO.sub.2 snow formation chamber, and use of a bidirectional internal regeneration cylinder to provide compactive force. The extruder is portable, since it only weighs approximately 1000 lbs., can be powered with a non-stationary energy source, and may be used to remanufacture partially sublimated dry ice solids into extruded dry ice pellets of a predetermined shape and size.

An amplified mixer-blower device for discharging a feed material at high velocity and enhanced volume using a venturi transport principle. Preferably, carbon dioxide vapor is used as a means for propelling the feed material which may have a different phase of the same composition of the propulsive gas, or constitute an entirely different material. The apparatus is suitable for a number of applications such as neutralizing airborne ammonia vapor or droplets, extinguishing a flammable liquid, and conveying solid materials.

A holder for Christmas trees which includes a container supported above ground level, legs to support the weight of the tree attached to the container, and holding members extending from the legs. The container is provided with sharpened points or a spike upon which the tree base rests, and can hold a reservoir of water. The legs are mounted to the container so that as the weight of the tree depresses the container, the legs spread on the floor and the holding members are forced to engage the tree trunk and hold it in place. Springs are provided at the point at which the legs are attached to the container so that the container may set above ground level at rest position with the holding members spread wide enough to accommodate various tree trunk sizes. Alternatively, a resilient stabilizing member integral with the legs and extending over the rim and into the container is provided which acts similarly to the springs of the first embodiment to hold the legs open prior to tree insertion.

There is disclosed a flying saucer device which basically has a flat top surface including symmetrically disposed apertures. A bottom section consists of a central cone shaped portion having a top surface containing additional apertures in a predetermined alignment with the apertures in the flat surface. A bottom section surrounds the central cone section and contains apertures which are aligned with the apertures in the top section. The apertures in the top and bottom sections communicate one with the other and with the apertures in the central cone section by means of an annular cavity which is formed when the top section is emplaced with the bottom section. The top and bottom sections are emplaced with respect to a relatively central sloping wing section to afford lift to the device and which surrounds and extends beyond the top and bottom sections of the flying saucer device. The device disclosed is capable of performing various acrobatic maneuvers with a major maneuver being the ability of the device to roll so that the top section is always furthest from the ground.
