In a method for reducing erosion on land where moving water has formed at least one rill or gully a plurality of rock-filled mesh bags are placed at selected spaced apart locations in a rill or gulley. The mesh bags have side walls in which there are openings, each opening having a major diameter of between ⅛ inches and ¼ inches and a minor diameter which is less than or equal to the major diameter. For most uses, the mesh bags contain rocks having a size in which a largest diameter of the rock is between ⅜ inch and 1 inch, and the mesh bags weigh between 3 pounds and 4 pounds. Water flowing in the gulley will pass through each mesh bag. The mesh bag reduces the flow rate of the moving water. Larger sizes of stones and bags are used for areas of greater flow.

Method for reducing erosion on hillsides

A door hook includes a top member, a back member, a front member, a hook and a leg. The back member is attached to the first end of the top member and the front member is attached to the opposite end of the top member. The leg and hook are also attached to the front member. The leg extends below the hook. A resilient foot is attached to the leg such that the resilient foot is below the hook. The front member is configured to flex into a generally convex shape after a downward force acts on the hook and the resilient foot is configured to flex after the downward force is exerted on the hook.

A foot for molded plastic furniture has a pad portion made of a first plastic or thermoplastic rubber and an anchor portion made of a second harder plastic or metal. The anchor has a base with a substantially flat surface that is bonded to a substantially flat top surface of the pad. Preferably the anchor portion and pad portion are co-extruded. A projection having at least one rib extends from the base of the anchor and is inserted into a cavity in a furniture leg creating a reliable mechanical fit which resists removal of the foot from the leg.

Foot for molded plastic furniture

A cleaning device is provided with at least removable lamp console. When the lamp console is attached, the device can be used as a floor or desk lamp to illuminate a room and/or a table-top. The lamp console is removable to enable the device and/or lamp console to be used as a cleaner to clean a floor or other cleaning surface. Each lamp console is provided with a coupling mechanism that enables selective and electro-mechanical communication with a coupling mechanism of a cleaning device. This coupling enables interchangeability of various lamp consoles. Embodiments provide for a lamp console that acts as a handle-extension. Further embodiments provide for a second illumination display disposed on a portion of the cleaning device.

Cleaning device and lamp

A tool adapted to collect, lift, and move material has a lifting structure attached to a collection element and at least one handle attached to the lifting structure. The lifting structure may have two or three segments. Each segment may have rails spaced apart and substantially parallel to each other with at least one cross member disposed there-between. The segments are oriented relative to one another to reduce the amount of bending required to lift material in the collection element. Adjacent segments in the lifting structure may be pivotally attached to each other. This tool can be free standing when used as a dustpan.

Standing shovel

A seat on a stool, chair or bench has permanent depressions in the surface of the seat that corresponds in shape to an end view of a human iliac bone. A pair of spaced apart permanent depressions are provided on an axis that passes through and is perpendicular to a centerline from the back edge of the seat. One depression is on one side of the centerline and the other depression is on an opposite side of the centerline. A third permanent depression is on the centerline and spaced apart from the axis that passes through the pair of spaced apart permanent depressions and is closer to the rear edge of the seat than the pair of spaced apart permanent depressions.

Seat for molded plastic chairs

A clip for hanging decorative lights from the eaves of a house has an elongated C-shaped body. This body has an intermediate curved section extending between two ends that curve inwardly. A hook is attached to the outside surface of the intermediate curved section. The elongated body is made of a flexible plastic having a memory such that the curved ends may be moved away from one another by a force acting on at least one of the distal ends. When the force is removed the memory will cause the distal ends of the clip to move together. The inward curvature enables the curved ends to unravel to some extent. The combination of the unraveling of the ends and the flexing of the curved intermediate portion enables this clip to fit onto eaves ranging in width from &#x215d; inch to over two inches without breaking.

A stackable elevated planter has a rectangular or oval body that holds potting soil. Two or four legs sockets are attached to and extend away from the bottom of the planter body to define a rectangle. Legs are provided such that each leg has one end sized to fit within one of the leg sockets. The legs have a length less that the length of the rectangle and an average width which is less than one fourth of the width of the rectangle such that the four legs can be laid next to one another within the planter body and a similar second planter will fit within that planter. The body of the second planter may be positioned over the four legs such that the leg sockets of the second planter body extend beyond the four legs and the leg sockets of the second planter may rest on the top surface of the base of the first planter. An optional shelf that fits within the planter body for storage and is attached to the legs when the planter is assembled may also be provided. In another embodiment the legs can be filled with water and a wick may extend from each leg into the planter body.

A stackable holder for a potted plant has a top having a central opening and a plurality of legs extending from the top. A plurality of flexible flaps may extend inward from the central opening, and be frangibly joined to each other along a length of the flap. The stackable holder has a plurality of connectors attached to the top and/or the legs, which may connect multiple stackable holders side-by-side in a row. The stackable holder is configured so that it may be stacked upon a second stackable holder, allowing the stackable holders to be tightly packed for storage or shipment. The stackable holder may have a planter body having a base and at least one sidewall extending from the base to form a cavity. The planter body may be attached to the stackable holder or may be removable. The planter body may have a lid.

A seat on a stool, chair or bench has a permanent depression in the surface of the seat that corresponds in shape to an end view of a human iliac bone. This shape has concave curved central channel which has a first end and a second end. There is a first concave boomerang shaped channel having a central portion connected to the first end of the concave curved central channel and a second concave boomerang shaped channel having a central portion connected to the second end of the concave curved central channel. A chair, stool or bench whose seat has such a permanent depression is more comfortable to the person sitting on that seat than hard seats on seating devices known in the art.
