A pedestal system including a pedestal is described. The pedestal includes a base, an access door, and a button deck. The access door is rotatably coupled to the pedestal between a first open position and a first closed position wherein the access door is configured to allow access to an interior portion of the pedestal. The button deck includes one or more of a display and a button panel including one or more buttons. The button deck is rotatably coupled to the pedestal between a second open position and a second closed position wherein the button deck is configured to allow access to the interior portion of the pedestal when the button deck is in the second open position.

A gaming machine includes a base, a columnar pedestal extending vertically from the base, and a button deck adjustably coupled to the pedestal. The button deck includes an upper surface including a transparent touchscreen element, a lower surface opposite the upper surface, and a button deck body extending therebetween. At least one of the lower surface and the body include one or more transparent display elements, the one or more transparent display elements are configured to generate images of gaming machine control actuators viewable on the upper surface. The transparent touchscreen element is configured to receive touches and gestures indicating control inputs. The gaming machine also includes a player tracking card reader positioned within the button deck and accessible through a slot in a front edge of the button deck, the player tracking card reader communicatively coupled to a player tracking display area of the gaming machine.

Method and system for a gaming system user interface

A brushless motor system for use with a mechanical reel gaming machine is provided. The brushless motor system includes a reel hub and a reel frame rotationally attached to a center shaft of the reel hub. The brushless motor system also includes a permanent magnet (PM) rotor attached to the reel frame and including a plurality of permanent magnets attached to the PM rotor. The brushless motor system further includes a stator including stator coils attached to the reel hub, the plurality of stator coils are mounted parallel to a surface of the PM rotor at a separation distance. The stator causes the PM rotor to rotate during activation of the stator without direct contact between the stator and the rotor, thereby causing the display of one or more symbols of the plurality of symbols during the wagering game based on the rotation.

Gaming machine including brushless motor system

An electronic gaming device comprising a first display device operable to present a game, an activation structure, a three-dimensional second display device positioned relative to the first display device and the activation structure, and a game controller having at least one processor and a memory storing a set of symbols and at least a sequence of instructions. When the instructions are executed, the game controller causes the at least one processor to at least levitate the three-dimensional second display device relative to the first display device and the activation structure, move the three-dimensional second display device in relation to at least one of a plurality of axes, and display game information on the three-dimensional second display.
