An apparatus for indicating the proper pendulum putting stroke to a golfer with An elongated display device that is positioned on a floor parallel to the stroke path of the practicing golfer, A display device containing multiple microcontroller module sections, each containing visual indicators spaced uniformly along the length of the sections, Each section being responsive to commands from a peripheral computing device to turn on a specific visual indicator, a peripheral computing device such as a personal computer running a computer program which calculates the putting stroke based on desired distance, green speed, and the golfer's personal rhythm rate in beats per minute, A peripheral computing device that after calculating the putting stroke time-position data, commands the display device to turn on and off consecutive visual indicators at a predefined time in such a way as to display a putting stroke path, and show the golfer the proper time-space dynamics to strike a golf ball a desired distance.

Pendulum putting stroke training aid

A golf putting training device is provided which allows a golfer to practice distance control in a confined area by displaying an estimate of how far a golf ball would have traveled on a green having a selected stimp value after being struck with a putter and subsequently colliding with a target strike plate of the training device. The golf putting training device includes a housing and rear stabilization plate, a target strike plate, a doppler microwave speed sensor, an impact sensor, a green speed selector, a distance display, an audible beeper, and a microcontroller which calculates the putting distance based on the measurement of the speed of the rolling golf ball prior to impact and the stimp setting selected. An audible beeper provides an indication of the rolling progress of the simulated roll of the golf ball past the target strike plate.

Golf putting distance control training device

A system for transmitting data includes a receiver that receives data at a first data transfer rate. A processor buffers the data into sequential frames of a predetermined length of time and arranges the frames into a byte of data. A transmitter transmits the byte of data a number of times greater than one and equal to a second data transfer rate divided by the first data transfer rate.

System and method for transmission of digitized audio samples

A data distribution device transfers digitized audio and digital data between memories of processors in a multi-processor communications system on a sample bus without protocols or handshaking between the source and destination processors. The device is capable of dynamic reconfiguration of its distribution pattern when peripherally commanded and has individual control over all memory read, chip select and write lines. Through an indirect register addressing scheme the present system has the ability to read from an address within any single memory and then write to an address within any or all other memories of the processors within the communications system.

Data distribution system for multi-processor memories using simultaneous

An early warning system (10) for visually informing the hearing impaired driver (D) of an automotive vehicle (A) of the proximity of an emergency vehicle by detecting a siren being sounded by the emergency vehicle. A microphone unit (12) receives an audible frequency signal transmitted by the siren. This signal is in one of a band of audible frequencies. In addition to the siren, the microphone unit receives other audible frequency signals as well. A signal processor (22) processes all received audible frequency signals. The processor includes an analog-digital converter (30) for converting received signals to a digital signal. The processor further includes a correlator microprocessor (32) for comparing the resulting processed signal to known siren signal characteristics each of which identifies a different type of siren. A light indicator (D1) provides a visible signal to the driver of the proximity of an emergency vehicle and an audible warning is also provided. These warnings allow the driver time to take appropriate action to avoid the emergency vehicle. The indicator is illuminated when a correlation is found indicating a received signal corresponds with the sound made by an emergency vehicle siren.
