A method for operating a video source is provided. The method includes capturing video data comprising a plurality of frames of a scene, and identifying a first frame from the plurality of frames that includes a first aspect of an activity occurring within the scene. The method also includes subsequent to identifying the first frame, identifying at least a second frame from the plurality of frames that includes a second aspect of the activity occurring within the scene, and transferring the first frame and the second frame for delivery to storage.

Method and apparatus for operating a video system

A method for operating a video system to generate and store encoded video comprising a plurality of key frames and a plurality of delta frames is provided. The method includes capturing video data comprising a plurality of frames of a scene, and selecting a fundamental view of at least a portion of the scene contained in the plurality of frames. The method also includes generating the plurality of key frames from a first subset of the plurality of frames and the fundamental view of at least the portion of the scene, generating the plurality of delta frames from a second subset of the plurality of frames and the plurality of key frames, and transferring the encoded video for delivery to storage.

In an embodiment, a method of operating a video system comprises determining an aggregate video data rate based on a video data rate for each of a plurality of cameras, determining a projected retention capability based on the aggregate video data rate and available storage capacity, determining a level of risk that the projected retention capability will not satisfy a required retention capability, determining an adjustment to the video data rate for at least a target camera of the plurality of cameras based on the level of risk.

Systems and methods for video rate control

Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods reduce the resolution of video before transference to a display system. In a particular embodiment, a video processing system receives viewing parameters for a viewing area on a display system. The processing system also receives video of a scene comprising a quantity of pixels in each of a plurality of images of the scene. The processing system then modifies the video based on the viewing parameters to produce modified video having a reduced quantity of pixels in each of the plurality of images. The modified video is transferred for display of at least a portion of the scene in the viewing area by the display system.

Modifying the resolution of video before transferring to a display system

A method and apparatus for coupling panels to a structure. A coupling assembly includes a first coupling member depending from a face of one of the panels and adapted to deflect a relatively large amount in a plane of rotation of the first coupling member and a second coupling member depending from the corresponding face of the second panel. A coupling mechanism is provided between the coupling members provides for transmitting a force between the coupling members over a range of deflection of the first coupling member, permitting large relative movement between the panels.

Method and apparatus for coupling wall panels of a building

A method and apparatus for mounting pre-cast panels to a structure. A pocket in the pre-cast panel extends into a side thereof and has a ceiling surface adapted to rest on a height-adjustable member such as the head of a bolt threadably received in an extendable member attached to a side of the structure to which the panel is to be mounted. The extendable member is carried by a base member mounted to the structure, the base member supporting the extendable member so that the extendable member is enabled to extend along an axis and move inwardly and outwardly relative to the base portion along the axis. Preferably, the extendable member is further constrained by the base member so that the extendable member is not permitted to rotate substantially about the axis.
