To monitor oil quality of an automotive vehicle, a sensor generates a signal indicative of a characteristic of the oil. A processor is configured to determine the oil quality from the signal. A communication component transmits an indication of whether the determined oil quality meets an unacceptability criterion to an external device.

Oil quality monitoring

To monitor lubrication maintenance of an automotive vehicle a signal is generated by a sensor that is indicative of exposure of a lubrication system access port through which automotive lubricant is accessed. Performance of a lubrication maintenance operation is determined from the signal and lubrication maintenance information is transmitted externally to the vehicle, where the lubrication maintenance information includes an indication of the performance of the lubrication maintenance operation.

Oil maintenance monitoring

A distributed system and method for associating reputation to device registration is disclosed herein. The systems and methods can include receiving a request for a device interaction from a requesting device. A blockchain registry can then be accessed in response to the request. An approval threshold can be prepared for an approval of the request. Input votes regarding the approval can be received from one or more acting member devices. In response to achieving the approval threshold, the device interaction can be established between the requesting device and one or more connected devices. Then, the device interaction can be recorded in the blockchain registry.
