The invention provides toner cartridges that deliver toner in a metered fashion to an image forming apparatus. The cartridges have a delivery mechanism comprising a toner delivery member that delivers toner to the supply port as it is rotated. Depending upon the orientation of the delivery mechanism, the toner delivery member can at least partially block or at least partially allow the free flow of toner out of the supply port, as desired. The delivery mechanism of the invention can be used to deliver toner, developer, or any such powder out of a container.

A developer cartridge includes a body member configured to store a developer. The body member defines a developer delivery opening configured to deliver the stored developer to an exterior of the body member, the body member defining first and second open ends. A first flange member is disposed in the first open end. A second flange member is disposed in the second open end. A lug is aligned with an extension of the developer delivery opening. The lug is configured to open and to close a shutter of an image forming apparatus in which the developer cartridge is installed.

A developer cartridge, for an image forming apparatus having a shutter, for the delivery of a developer. The developer cartridge includes a body member, at least one delivery opening, and at least one drive lug configured and dimensioned to open and close shutter of an image forming apparatus. The body member is configured to store a developer and defines first and second ends and a longitudinal axis. The delivery opening is configured to dispense developer. The drive lug extends radially outwardly from the body member and is longitudinally aligned with at least some portion of the delivery opening, wherein the drive lug is configured and dimensioned to open and close a shutter of an image forming apparatus.

A coupling arrangement having an optical photo-conductive drum including drum exterior and interior surfaces surrounding and extending along a longitudinal axis, the drum exterior surface facing away from the longitudinal axis, and the drum interior surface facing toward the longitudinal axis and including first and second open ends and at least one protrusion disposed apart from the first and second open ends. A flange includes a flange interior surface disposed in the first open end, a flange exterior surface disposed outside of the first open end, a flange side surface connecting the flange interior and exterior surfaces, and at least one receiving portion. The at least one protrusion is disposed in the at least one receiving portion.

The drum interior surface includes first and second open ends. A flange including a flange interior surface is disposed in the first open end. A flange exterior surface is disposed outside of the first open end. A flange side surface connects the flange interior and exterior surface. A grounding plate is disposed in the first open end and includes an outwardly extending contact that contacts the drum interior surface and removes a portion of the electrically resistive coating to achieve electrical connection with the drum interior surface and to hold the flange.
