A guide assembly comprises a grooved mandrel having a first end adapted for coupling or connecting, a second end, and having a spiral groove and a set of ring grooves on an external surface of the grooved mandrel. The guide assembly comprises a guide shoe concentric to at least the second end of the grooved mandrel and an annular fastener that fastens the guide shoe to the grooved mandrel.

Single acting snap ring guide

A string guide comprising an upper mandrel, a lower muleshoe guide concentric to a lower portion of the upper mandrel, and an annular fastener internal to the lower muleshoe guide that fastens the lower muleshoe guide to the upper mandrel. When the guide encounters an obstruction (e.g., a packer bore or liner top), the weight of equipment above the lower muleshoe guide elastically deforms the annular fastener which drives the lower muleshoe guide up the upper mandrel. As the lower muleshoe guide travels up the upper mandrel, internal lugs of the muleshoe guide ride a spiral groove on the upper mandrel to rotate the lower muleshoe guide around the upper mandrel.

A thermally printable thermoplastic media includes a thermoplastic material having a thermally activated composition incorporated therein. The thermally activated composition includes a leuco-dye, a color developer, and a reaction promoter. The printable media preferably has a thickness of from about 0.5 to about 1.5 mils to provide a roll with a longer length than a conventional paper roll, thereby increasing the amount of printable media which can be contained on a roll. The thermally printable thermoplastic media is manufactured by combining a thermoplastic material and a thermally activated composition, melting the combined thermoplastic material and thermally activated composition and forming a film from the combined thermoplastic material and thermally activated composition, typically by extrusion. To prevent pre-imaging or initiation of a thermo-chromogenic reaction from the heat involved in extrusion, the extrusion is preferably carried out in an oxygen-free environment.

Thermal chromogenic plastic film and method of manufacture therefor

A printable tape of a thermoplastic material for use in cash registers to improve the efficiency of the check out process and enhance the post consumer recyclability of the plastic bags used by the stores. The tape comprises a thermoplastic material, typically polyethylene or polypropylene, a pigment to provide sufficient opacity such that printing on the printable media is readable and a sufficient amount of a matting agent to improve the printability of the printable media.

Recyclable printable media

A histogram projection system which automatically optimizes, tracks changes in luminance and adjusts in real time the display of wide dynamic range imagery from IR cameras. It is computationally simpler than and offers markedly superior results to the standard available technique for this purpose, histogram equalization. The new technique assigns display dynamic range equally to each occupied intensity level in the raw data in contrast to the old procedure which assigns dynamic range in proportion to the number of pixels at given levels. Less shot noise and greater resolution of image detail for smaller objects or targets are the main improvements from the new algorithm. By the expedient of undersampling the image pixels in carrying out the histogram processing, one can in effect gradually increase the degree of dynamic range assigned to majority or background pixel levels, thereby enhancing the contrast in background regions when desired.

Real-time automated scene display for infrared cameras

A blister packaging system is disclosed that is a sheet/film or sheet/sheet package designed to be easily recycled and may be of materials that have a high recycled content without degradation in performance. The blister package is composed of a thermoformed or vacuumformed front blister made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), PET-G or R-PET which may have a significant pre or post-consumer recycled content sealed to a back film or sheet made from polyethylene which may also have a significant pre or post consumer recycled content. The film or sheet back may be printed on either or both sides and is coated on one side with an adhesive which bonds to the blister in the filling/sealing process.

Blister package

A label system is disclosed that is deformable and is useful for the decoration or marking of squeezable bottles or other flexible substrates. The label system is composed of a film of low or medium density polyethylene which is corona treated to accept print or decorative resin and certain curable pressure sensitive adhesives, and is affixed by the adhesive to bottles or other substrates in a manner that the label conforms to the shape of the surface of the bottle. The label deforms and recovers in essentially a permanent manner without wrinkling, cracking, tearing or being otherwise defaced due to separation or destructive fracturing of the label-substrate system.

Deformable label

A packaging system which incorporates a bonding of a blister material and a backing material by means of a bond which is curable by ultraviolet radiation.
