A fiber optic connector for terminating a fiber optic cable includes an inner housing, an outer housing, a connector sub-assembly, and a crimp sleeve. The outer housing is disposed radially outward of the inner housing, and the connector sub-assembly includes a ferrule basket configured to receive a ferrule that terminates a fiber of the fiber optic cable. The crimp sleeve surrounds and is crimped onto a rearward portion of the connector sub-assembly and an end portion of the fiber optic cable. The inner housing is configured to be securely disposed about the crimp sleeve, and the outer housing is configured to be secured disposed about the inner housing.

Fiber optical connectors

An enclosable box for housing components from more than one telecommunications systems including a first housing portion, a second housing portion, a box mounting hinge that connects the first housing portion and the second housing portion, an internal telecommunications component compartment panel, a compartment panel mounting hinge that connects the internal telecommunications component compartment with one of the first and second housing portions. The compartment panel mounting hinge may be configured to allow the compartment panel to open and close an internal compartment or cavity that is large enough to enclose at least a first telecommunications systems component. The back wall of the first housing portion may include a component platform that is either fixed or allowed to pivot into a configuration such that the component platform is tilted away from the base member.

An optical fiber feed-through connector for optically coupling an end portion of an optical fiber cable with a non-feed-through optical fiber connector includes a feed-through duct engaging portion having a body member and a compression fitting portion configured to radially compress a portion of the body member around the free end portion of the duct and a feed-through housing portion configured to be operatively coupled to the feed-through duct engaging portion so as to allow the end portion of the optical fiber cable to be slidingly fed through the feed-through housing portion. The feed-through engaging portion is configured to permit the end portion of the optical fiber cable to be slidingly fed through both the duct and the feed-through duct engaging portion, and the feed-through duct engaging portion and the feed-through housing portion are configured to permit the optical fiber cable to be pushed or pulled through the duct and the feed-through housing portion after the feed-through duct engaging portion is operatively coupled to the feed-through housing portion.

Connectors for micro-duct terminations of fiber optic cable

A network access point enclosure is configured to house a splice tray that is configured to pivot to provide increased access to opposite sides of the splice tray during assembly. The enclosure includes a base, a cover configured to be sealingly coupled with the base to form a housing, and a splice tray configured to be pivotally coupled with the base. The splice tray is configured to be pivoted between a first orientation relative to the base and a second orientation relative to the base. The splice tray is configured to form a larger angle relative to the base in the first orientation than in the second orientation, and the splice tray is configured to provide increased access to a front side of the splice tray and a rear side of the splice tray in the first orientation than in the second orientation.

A fiber optic connector includes a body portion and a coupling portion configured to be coupled with the body portion. The body portion is configured to receive a fiber optic cable, and the coupling portion is configured to radially compress a portion of the body portion onto an outer jacket of a fiber optic cable to clamp the outer jacket and to prevent relative axial movement between the fiber optic cable and the connector when the coupling portion is coupled with the body portion so as to mechanically couple the body portion with the fiber optic cable without having to use a crimping tool.

An optical fiber connector sub-assembly for an optical fiber connector includes a ferrule configured to hold an optical fiber therein along an axis of the ferrule and a ferrule holder configured to hold the ferrule. The ferrule has an end face at which the optical fiber is terminated, and the ferrule holder includes a base in which the ferrule is configured to be seated. The sub-assembly includes a ferrule basket including an inner sleeve slidably coupled with an outer sleeve and configured to isolate a front end of the connector from a rear end of the connector such that the ferrule is isolated from movement of the rear end of the connector. The ferrule basket is configured to receive the ferrule holder therein.

A fiber optic connector includes a ferrule holder configured to receive a ferrule that terminates an optical fiber cable, a connector sub-assembly configured to receive an optical fiber cable and to hold the ferrule holder, a connector body configured to hold the connector sub-assembly, a shroud configured to encircle the connector body, and a housing configured to encircle a portion of the shroud. The connector body is configured to include a first mating member and a second mating member. The first mating member is configured to include a cantilevered flange, and the second mating member is configured to include a groove on an inner surface of the second mating member. The cantilevered flange is configured to engage with the groove to securely fasten the first mating member with the second mating member.

A connector includes a body and a cap configured to be threadedly coupled with the body. The body is configured to receive a fiber optic cable therein and to be coupled with a sub-assembly of a fiber optic connector, an inner surface of the body includes an annularly-extending ridge that protrudes radially inward, and the body is configured to be radially compressed on a jacket of the fiber optic cable when the cap is threadedly coupled with the body.

A connector for coupling a fiber optic cable with a connection point includes a connector body at a first end of the connector and extending in a longitudinal direction and a connector housing at a second end of the connector. The connector body defines a first longitudinal conduit configured to receive a duct, and the duct is configured to slidingly receive the fiber optic cable. A compression fitting is configured to be received about a first end of the connector body and to slide relative to the connector body in the longitudinal direction to radially compress the first end of the connector body to grip the duct. The connector housing includes a second longitudinal conduit substantially aligned with the first longitudinal conduit in the longitudinal direction and a connection portion configured to couple the fiber optic cable to the connection point. The first longitudinal conduit and the second longitudinal conduit are configured to slidingly receive the fiber optic cable.

A fiber node connector includes a first duct fitting and a second duct fitting. The first duct fitting is configured to be fixedly coupled with a flexible duct, to couple a nut with the flexible duct, to permit the nut to rotate relative to the flexible duct, and to permit limited relative axial movement between the nut and the flexible duct. The second duct fitting is configured to be axially and rotatably fixed to the flexible duct, to couple a connector body to the flexible duct, to permit the connector body to rotate relative to the flexible duct, and to permit limited relative axial movement between the connector body and the flexible duct.
