Anchor delivery systems and methods for repairing a valve inside a body, such as an atrioventricular valve, may include an anchor delivery device including a sheath for at least partially retaining an anchor in a collapsed form. The anchor delivery device may be configured to deliver the anchor to the atrioventricular valve. The anchor and an adjacent anchor may be connectable to each other in an expanded form, to link a series of anchors implanted at least partially around the atrioventricular valve. In some embodiments, the anchors may be connectable by a connecting member, such as a pledget, or a material disposable on a bulb of the anchor. In other embodiments, a bulb of the anchor and a bulb of the adjacent anchor may be configured to be directly interlocked.

Connected anchor delivery systems and methods for valve repair

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods for delivering therapy to an adrenal gland of a patient. The apparatuses, systems, and methods may include a plurality of stimulation elements arranged configured to deliver stimulation energy through at least one of the plurality of stimulation elements to modulate aldosterone levels within the patient.

An example of a system for modulating blood pressure may include a blood pressure monitoring circuit, a blood pressure modulation device, and a control circuit. The blood pressure monitoring circuit may be configured to sense signals and generate one or more blood pressure parameters indicative of the blood pressure and/or a vascular resistance and one or more activity parameters indicative of an activity level and/or a postural change using the sensed signals. The blood pressure modulation device may be configured to deliver a therapy modulating the blood pressure. The control circuit may be configured to control the therapy using therapy parameters, receive the one or more blood pressure parameters and the one or more activity parameters, analyze changes in the one or more blood pressure parameters that are correlated to changes in the one or more activity parameters, and adjust the therapy parameters using an outcome of the analysis.

Method and apparatus for controlling spinal cord stimulation to treat hypertension

An electrical stimulation lead includes at least one lead body having a distal end portion, a proximal end portion, and a longitudinal length. The lead further includes a paddle body extending from the distal end portion of the at least one lead body, electrodes disposed along the paddle body, terminals disposed along the proximal end portion of the at least one lead body, and conductors electrically coupling the terminals to the electrodes. The lead further includes an anchoring device threadably disposed in at least a portion of the paddle body. The anchoring device has a head element and a tissue-engagement element fixed to the head element such that actuation of the head element urges the tissue-engagement element away from or toward the paddle body.

Leads for electrostimulation of peripheral nerves and other targets

An electrical stimulation lead includes a stimulation cuff having an exterior surface and an interior surface that defines a nerve channel having a nerve channel axis. A plurality of electrodes are disposed on the interior surface of the cuff. A longitudinal opening extends through the cuff and further extends along an entire length of the cuff, wherein the opening is operable to receive a target nerve from a region outside of the cuff to within the nerve channel. A mount is disposed on the exterior surface of the cuff and radially offset from the nerve channel axis. A lead body is radially offset from the nerve channel axis and a plurality of conductors extend through the lead body, mount and cuff, with the plurality of conductors electrically coupled to the electrodes. The electrical stimulation lead may include a plurality of slots to permit tissue ingrowth.

Aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward apparatuses, systems, and methods for delivering therapy to an adrenal gland of a patient. The apparatuses, systems, and methods may include a lead body that attaches to a portion of the adrenal gland of the patient; and a plurality of electrodes arranged along the lead body. In addition, one or more of the plurality of electrodes may deliver stimulation energy to modulate catecholamine release from chromaffin cells within the adrenal gland.

A medical device may include a stimulation member configured to apply a stimulus to a nerve that is configured to control a contraction of an airway distal to the nerve, and a measurement member configured to measure an effect of the stimulus on the airway. The medical device also may include an energy delivery element configured to deliver energy to tissue defining the airway to reduce an effect of the stimulus on the airway. The energy delivery element may be disposed at or distally of the stimulation member.
