An extruded PET parison includes a first extruded polymer comprising PET, and a second extruded polymer comprising PET. In embodiments, the first extruded polymer and the second extruded polymer are co-extruded, and the first extruded polymer has an intrinsic viscosity that is higher that the intrinsic viscosity of the second extruded polymer. A monolayer embodiment is also disclosed. In embodiments, a monolayer extruded PET container is comprised of bottle grade PET resin that has been solid stated and may have an IV from about 0.96 to about 1.4.

Container body portion

A hollow plastic container with a separately formed handle engaging the sidewall of the container and supported thereby. The handle includes an elongated portion extending upwardly over the major portion of the longitudinal extent of the sidewall and arm portions extending from the elongated portion towards the sidewall for engagement with the sidewall, wherein the sidewall receives the arm portions and holds the handle in place.

A plastic blow molded container () is disclosed as including a freestanding base structure () that is constructed with good stability against tipping provided by five alternating hollow legs () and five curved ribs () that alternate, and a hub () from which the legs and ribs extend radially with a construction that provides good stability against tipping as well as the capability of withstanding internal pressure. The legs () have lower flat feet () of truncated wedge shapes with an outer diameter D, and the hub () has a periphery connected to the feet and ribs with a height Hsuch that the ratio of the diameter Dover the height His in the range of about 25 to 90 to maintain strength without the hub engaging the supporting surface on which the feet rest.
