An implantable medical device that includes a memory, stimulation circuitry configured to deliver electrical stimulation to a patient, and processing circuitry operably coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry is configured to: control the stimulation circuitry to output electrical stimulation therapy to a patient via a first electrode combination and control the stimulation circuitry to output a notification stimulation via a second electrode combination and interleaved with the electrical stimulation therapy. The notification stimulation may include an intensity above a perception level of the patient, and the second electrode combination may include an electrode disposed at an implant site of the implantable medical device.

Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing intelligent assistance ('IA') ecosystem, and, in some cases, for implementing extended reality (“XR”) for cardiac arrhythmia procedures. In various embodiments, a computing system might receive device data associated with a device(s) configured to perform a cardiac arrhythmia procedure to provide effective heart rhythm, might receive imaging data associated with an imaging device(s) configured to generate images of a portion(s) of a patient. The computing system might analyze the received device data and imaging data (collectively “received data”), might map the received data to a 3D or 4D representation of the portion(s) of the patient based on the analysis, and might generate and present (using a user experience (“UX”) device) one or more XR images or experiences based on the mapping.

Extended reality (XR) applications for cardiac arrhythmia procedures

A sensing and stimulation system includes a central hub, and a plurality of flexible arms extending from the central hub. Each of the arms includes at least one electrode and at least one sensor. Each of the arms is configured to perform sensing and stimulation including electrically stimulating biological material, and sensing biological responses and changes. The system includes a port configured to be alternatively connected to a remote control module for wireless operation of the system and a leaded connector for wired operation of the system.

Sensing and stimulation system

A device may transmit questionnaires to a set of client devices, wherein the questionnaires include a set of questions that relate to an internal entity experience attribute and/or an external entity experience attribute. The device may receive a set of questionnaire responses and correlate the set of questionnaire responses with contextual data relating to an entity. The device may process, using a machine learning model trained based on data relating to one or more other entities, the set of questionnaire responses and the contextual data to identify a set of features and a set of feature ranks. The device may select a subset of features based on the set of feature ranks and a set of influence thresholds. The device may generate a set of recommendations associated with the subset of features and communicate with one or more other devices to implement the set of recommendations.

Analytics-driven recommendation engine

Methods, systems, and devices for creating a model of a medical device for use in an extended reality (XR) system are described. The method may include receiving a three-dimensional model of the medical device, where the three-dimensional model is represented by a plurality of vectors. The method may further include reducing a number of the plurality of vectors to at least below a maximum vector count threshold while maintaining at least a minimum model resolution threshold. In some cases, the method may include assigning one or more components to the reduced number of the plurality of vectors. The method may further include configuring a software-executable file for displaying an XR version of the three-dimensional model of the medical device.

Extended reality assembly modeling

A system for assessing at least one characteristic of a device within a recipient is provided. The system includes a device removably insertable into the recipient where the device includes at least one of a treatment element and implant, and at least one wireless tag positioned within at least one portion of the device. The system includes a tracking device that includes processing circuitry configured to: if the device is inserted into the recipient, interrogate the at least one wireless tag positioned within at least one portion of the device; determine at least one characteristic of at least one portion of the device in three dimensional space based at least in part on the interrogation of the at least one wireless tag; and cause the at least one characteristic of the at least one portion of the device relative to the recipient to be indicated.

Wireless tracking of device characteristics

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless signal transmission are described. A fractal antenna may be utilized to wirelessly communicate with a transmitter implanted within or located external to the patient. The fractal antenna may be implanted within the patient and may be coupled with a lead also implanted within the patient. The characteristics of the fractal antenna may allow for enhanced data transmission between the antenna and the transmitter while reducing the need for implanted wires to connect the transmitter and leads.

Passive propagation fractal antenna for intrabody transmissions

Methods, systems, and devices for medical imaging are described. Examples may include an augmented reality (AR) server receiving a set of medical imaging data acquired by at least a first imaging modality. The set of medical imaging data may include a visual representation of a biological structure of a body. Next, the medical imaging data can be used to render an isolated anatomical model of a least a portion of the biological structure. The isolated anatomical model can be received by an AR viewing device such as AR glasses. The AR viewing device may display on a display of the AR viewing device, a first view perspective of the isolated anatomical model in a first orientation. The first orientation may be based on a position of the first AR viewing device relative to the body. Examples include displaying a virtual position of the medical instrument in the AR viewing device.

Real-time rendering and referencing for medical procedures

A patient data exchange system comprises at least one device. Each of the devices implements an interface. When a device in the patient data exchange system publishes patient data, the device generates a metadata envelope that encapsulates the patient data. The metadata envelope conforms to a schema that defines allowable metadata attributes of the metadata envelope. When a device in the patient data exchange system receives a metadata envelope that conforms to the schema, the device determines, based at least in part on a metadata attribute of the metadata envelope, a particular patient data handling policy to apply to patient data encapsulated by the metadata envelope. In some instances, the metadata attribute indicates that authorization is required from an authorization service to access the patient data encapsulated by the metadata envelope.

Data driven schema for patient data exchange system

A system for detecting valvular malfunction includes a monitoring device and a processor. The monitoring device includes a heart sound sensor configured to detect heart sounds of the patient, and a signal processor. The processor is configured to receive a signal representative of the detected heart sounds from the signal processor, wherein the processor is configured to compare the signal to a baseline signal stored in memory. The processor may be part of the monitoring device or may be part of an external device, or both.

A system for identifying objects within an image. Disclosed are methods and systems for an image processing system to segment digital images. Generally stated, certain embodiments implement operations for consolidating shapes in a digital image, including: performing a shape identification analysis of pixels within the digital image to identify shapes within the digital image; analyzing each shape to identify attributes of each shape; comparing the identified attributes of each shape to the identified attributes of other shapes to determine if the shapes are sufficiently related to constitute an object; and if the identified attributes are sufficiently related, associating the shapes with each other to form an object.

Object identification

An implantable medical device (IMD) system includes an IMD, a transceiver antenna lead for the IMD, and a wireless therapy delivery transponder or probe that is remotely activated by the IMD via the transceiver antenna lead. The IMD and the wireless probe communicate using wireless RF-based transponder techniques. The wireless probe includes a capacitor that is charged when the IMD emits an appropriate electromagnetic field from the transceiver antenna lead. The wireless probe delivers electrical therapy in the form of electrical pulses from the capacitor in response to RF activation signals emitted by the IMD via the transceiver antenna lead.
