An interactive system for use in connection with recreational vehicle usage includes a server system, including an off-road trail database containing trail data, trail condition information, and points-of-interest information, as well as a trip mapping system accessible by any of a plurality of riders, allowing a rider to create a route based on the data in the off-road trip database. The server system further includes a trail maintenance interface accessible by users affiliated with an authorized group to edit the trail data, trail condition information, and points-of-interest information associated with the authorized group. The server system includes a location data management system configured to receive location data, allowing a rider to publish location information to one or more other riders, and a user feedback interface configured to receive trip data from riders for publication, including information describing an actual route and user data associated with that route.

Electrically-heated hose assembly including a hose and a first and a second fitting. The hose is constructed as having a core tube, a pair of spiral wound wires surrounding the core, and a jacket surrounding the core tube. A first end of each of the fittings is within a corresponding end of the hose, with a second end of the fittings extending beyond the hose end. The wires are wound around at least a portion of the second fitting end of a corresponding one of the fittings.

Method of making an electrically-heated hose assembly

Push-on hose construction for a self-gripping connection with a barbed nipple or other push in fitting end. The hose has an innermost core tube which exhibits a reduced coefficient of friction for easier insertion of the fitting end. Such core tube may be extruded or otherwise formed of thermoplastic polyurethane or other resin which is dulled or otherwise incompatibilized by the addition of an immiscible such as nonpolar polyolefin homopolymer, copolymer, or mixture thereof.

Push-on hose construction

Tubular polymeric composite for articles such as tubing and hoses. The composite is formed of a tubular first layer of a thermoplastic block polyether amide resin (PEBA) filled with a more structured carbon black particulate filler to render it electrically-conductive, and a tubular second layer of a thermoplastic polyamide, polyester, polyolefins, or other thermoplastic resin compatible with the PEBA resin of the first material, and which second material optionally may be filled with a less structured carbon black particulate filler to render it electrically-conductive.

Electrically-conductive hose

A permanently attachable hose coupling for a pressurized conduit end having a generally tubular nipple and a generally cylindrical shell permanently attached to the nipple and generally surrounding the conduit end. The nipple has a longitudinal axis, first and second ends, a series of circumferential grooves located between the first and the second ends, a longitudinal through bore, and an insert portion adjacent the plurality of grooves for insertion in the conduit. Each of the series of circumferential grooves fixedly receive at least one of an inside surface, an end surface and an outside surface of the generally cylindrical shell and each of the grooves has a generally flat base portion parallel to the longitudinal axis, a first substantially vertically oriented sidewall adjacent the generally flat base portion and a second substantially vertically oriented sidewall.

Universal fitting nipple

A flexible hose adapted construction for conveying fluids under pressure. The construction includes a core tube having a circumferential inner core tube surface and an opposing circumferential outer core tube surface. A first reinforcement layer surrounds the outer core tube surface, and is formed of one or more filaments of a first fiber. A second fiber reinforcement layer surrounds the first reinforcement layer, and is formed of one or more filaments of a second fiber. The first and second reinforcement layers are bonded together by means of a bonding agent such as an adhesive, resin, plasticizer, tackifier, or solvent, the application of which is controlled to wet only a portion of the filaments of the reinforcement layers.

Thermoplastic reinforced hose construction

Multi-layer tubular polymeric composite and to articles such as tubing and hoses constructed thereof. The composite is formed of a layer of a fluoropolymer material bonded directly to a second layer of a more general purpose resin material which may be a nylon or other polyamide.

Tubular polymeric composites for tubing and hose constructions

A flexible hose construction adapted for conveying fluids under pressures and capable of withstanding relatively high external pressures without collapsing. The tubular construction includes a first reinforcement layer, an inner jacket surrounding the first reinforcement layer, a second reinforcement layer surrounding the inner jacket, and outer jacket covering the second reinforcement layer.

Hose construction

A flexible hose construction adapted for conveying fluids under relatively high internal pressures and capable of withstanding relatively high external pressures without collapsing. The construction includes a tubular first elastomeric layer having a first inner radial surface and a first outer radial surface, and a tubular second elastomeric layer having a second inner radial surface and a second outer radial surface. A helical reinforcement element is spiral wound over the first elastomeric layer as interposed between that layer and the second elastomeric layer. The element is wound at a predetermined pitch angle to define a series of turns each being spaced-apart from an adjacent turn to define an interstitial area therebetween. The first and second elastomeric members each extends into the interstitial area with the first outer radial surface of the first elastomeric member being bonded to the second inner radial surface of the second elastomeric member such that the spiral reinforcement member is encapsulated therebetween.
